Club News Dear Members, The weather in October has been very good to us, with a record amount of golf rounds and club activity. November is shaping up to be warmer than normal, so there is plenty of time to still enjoy the golf course and it’s beautiful fall foliage. Our golf course improvements are well under way with construction of the new tees on holes #5 and #7, cart path work on #9, bunker construction, tree removal and irrigation installation. Throughout the winter months, we will continue these projects including more tree work, drainage and bunker construction. We are also in the process of repainting The Fountain Room, Fountain Bar, hallways and foyers throughout the second level of the clubhouse. Once painting is complete, we will be upgrading the lighting in our banquet rooms, including wall sconces and overhead lights. Stop by the club the next time you are in the area to see the new improvements. These facility upgrades will go a long way in creating an even more wonderful space for your special events. Please contact George Jordan and our sales team, who will be more than happy to assist you in planning and designing your memorable event. I am happy to announce we will be upgrading our golf cart fleet for the 2017 season. Our new Yamaha DRIVE 2 electric golf carts are state of the art and rated #1 in customer satisfaction and reliability. The new fleet will also have upgrades such as USB chargers, ergonomic contoured seats, and an automotive style dash, among other things. The new fleet will be delivered in February of 2017. Please see picture below for the actual color and style Woodcrest will be getting. Lastly, we are happy to announce the 2017 membership pricing and incentives are included in this newsletter. Please remember Woodcrest as your venue when it comes time to plan your corporate outings, networking, holiday parties and family events. On behalf of the entire WCC team, I thank you for being part of the Woodcrest family. If there is ever anything I can do for you, please do not hesitate to let me know.

Best Regards,

Patrick Lucas Director of Operations

Woodcrest History Prior to a golf course in 1929, Woodcrest was a family owned farm. The Cooper family managed the land that was known as ‘Peach Tree Farm’. The crop was primarily tomatoes that were sold to Campbell’s Soup in Camden. A larger framed copy will be at Woodcrest soon. This picture shows the existing main entrance of the club. If you have any interesting facts or history about the club you would like to share in the next newsletter, please click here to email to our marketing department.

Please let me know if you have any recommendations for happy hour entertainers next season. 2016 has been a banner year for Woodcrest regarding the banquet events and parties. Our wedding and bar/bat mitzvah business is growing in large part from the positive feedback we have received, as well as word of mouth. Woodcrest is becoming the place in the community to hold your special event. Please reach out to Summer or Nikki, our dynamic sales team, or myself to discuss how we can make your special event memorable and take advantage of special pricing for members.
