club NEWS Dear Woodcrest Members, October has blessed our region with some fantastic fall weather, and it looks like the Indian Summer will continue, allowing for more time to enjoy the golf course and amenities here at the club. As we start winding down the 2017 season, we are already planning on how to continue and improve our services and amenities for your continued enjoyment. We are in the process of structuring our capital improvement program, which will start this fall and continue throughout the winter months. We will be focusing on various projects and upgrades throughout the golf course, club house and pool facility. We have made tremendous strides over the last year and we will continue our efforts in maintaining the premier golf and social facility Woodcrest has been known for. On behalf of Woodcrest Country Club, I would like to personally thank each and every member for their continued support and participation. I am pleased to announce our 2018 membership rates are now out for your review. Although we have modestly increased our rates, Woodcrest still remains a spectacular value within the marketplace. I am also happy to announce that once again we will be offering an early pay incentive as well as a generous new-member referral program. Members who pay in full by December 1, 2017 will receive the 2017 membership rate. Outlined in the newsletter is the new-member referral incentive and the amount earned for each category. On November 9th, Woodcrest will be hosting our fall membership open-house with complimentary food stations, hors d’oeuvres and live entertainment. This is a great time for all current, and perspective members to come out and meet the Woodcrest team who will be happy to answer any questions about membership, future projects, and general direction of the club. During the open-house we will be doubling the referral incentive program amounts for any newly referred member who pays in full that evening. Also, all new members who pay early will immediately become active in the system, and will be able to enjoy membership benefits for the remainder of 2017. The open-house is a great time to bring colleagues, friends and family who are interested in learning more about Woodcrest and what we have to offer. As the Club continues to grow and flourish, I would like to thank each and every member for making Woodcrest the dynamic and vibrant country club it has become. Full privileges are extended to the member only; a social membership is extended to the member’s spouse and all dependent children under the age of 21. Full privileges are extended to the member, member spouse and all dependent children under the age of 21 for a family membership. Pool and tennis access is extended to weekdays and weekends.

Offers business professionals a relaxing escape from the office. The Corporate Membership will be held in the name of the corporation purchasing the membership. Entitles access to all of the facilities and amenities including the 18-hole championship golf course. Entitles the member and member spouse and all dependent children under the age of 21 access to pool and 4 rounds of golf (subject to $25.00 cart fee, must be used during the 2018 season). Additionally, members will receive a 20% discount on golf. (Discount not valid for guests).
SOCIAL- $950.00
GOLF PASS
Entitles the individual 25 rounds that must be used during the 2018 season. Social membership privileges given to pass holder, pass holder’s spouse and all dependent children under the age of 21.
SINGLE PASS- $2,665.00
Membership acceptance is at the discretion of management’s approval. All membership fees and amenities are subject to change at any time. Special 5% Membership Discount to Camden County Residents. (Does not apply to social or golf pass memberships. Only applies to new members and is not valid in combination with any other discount or incentive). All membership category rates are inclusive of sales tax. Proof of age is required for all memberships.
Membership FAQ’s Is there a food minimum? There is no food minimum.
Is the pool heated? Yes, it is heated to 85 degrees.
Is Bar 1929 open year round? Bar 1929 typically closes in January and February (weather permitting). We will send an email when Bar 1929 will be closed.
May guests of members come to member events? Yes, guests are welcome to come with members.
May I bring a guest to Bar 1929? Yes, guests are welcome to dine in Bar 1929.
How will I be billed for my membership? Monthly statements will be mailed or you may pay online.
May we bring guests to the pool? Yes, the guest fee is $10.00 per guest. Is there a limit on the number of pool guests? Usually, there is not but this is all dependent on how busy the pool is that day.
Are there member discounts on room rentals? Please inquire with our Events Sales Team or George Jordan, our Food & Beverage Director, for more information.
Do parents of members (grandparents) have to pay a guest fee at the pool? Yes, all guests of members must pay a guest fee.
How do I sign up for membership? Applications are available in the Pro Shop, Bar 1929, or in our Member & Client Relations office, see Julie Foran.
Are grandchildren charged a pool guest fee? Yes, all guests of members must pay a guest fee.
What incentives will be at the Fall Open House?
What is the deadline to receive 2017 rate discount? The deadline is December 1st, and membership must be paid in full. Do nannies have to pay a guest fee? They do not have to pay only if the parents are not with the children.

How do I submit a referral for a new member? Download a form from our website, pick up the form in the Pro Shop, or bring the new member to our Fall Open House.

Another season coming to a close! Fall is in the air, the leaves are changing, pumpkin patches are everywhere. It has been a great season! Let’s hope for a mild winter! In August, we said a fond farewell to our Executive Chef, Ignacio Alena. Ignacio was Head Chef at Woodcrest for the past three years. We wish him the best as he opens his personal home chef business. I’m delighted to welcome Executive Chef, Vincent Tancredi, who now joins us to lead the Woodcrest culinary team. Vincent brings with him a wealth of creativity and culinary skill. Vincent trained under renowned Ristorante San Carlo, Chef Alessandro Fersone. Vincent has also spent extensive time in his native country, Italy, perfecting his skills and passion for food. Vincent has spent the last fifteen years as Executive Chef at Pizzicato in Old City, Philadelphia. We are very excited to have Vincent as our Executive Chef as we continue to grow our banquet business and enhance you Bar 1929 dining experience. We have many great things in store for you as we move into next season.
