The market was very small really. Only around 5,000 searches per month but the conversion rate was incredible. At the time, I used WordPress keywords to run all 4 of my websites to #1 positions. All of the mega marketers ignored this 3rd level niche market which turned out great for me. If you really want to gain the advantage like I did over competitors, you have to change your mind-set from “I am going to go after the keyword groups that have the MOST searches” to ”I am going to find a keyword that may not have 100,000 searches per month but I am going to find a GROUP of keywords that have a COMBINED search of 100,000.Why? IF you happen to be marketing information of some kind, the keyword competition is almost unbearable. You have to either be willing to pay HIGH RATES for clicks on whatever pay per click engine you are using, have a MONSDTER opt in email list, OR have great search engine position in order to make a buck. Many web marketers are doing some things these days that I think is dumb and VERY unproductive and are certainly not advancing their business objectives in any meaningful way. I am going to tell you these things in order that you make stay focused on your core business and not become distracted by what everyone else is doing:
Posting sales pitches in forums such as Warrior’s Forum where there are VERY few prospects and even fewer people interested in your product. This particular forum is a bunch of web marketers trying to sell to other web marketers. Most of them have the same old recycled garbage!
Participating in any forum discussions without a DIRECT strategy to draw forum members to your offer. DO NOT participate in the big forums IF you do not see people asking questions that your product doesn’t answer. The way to get around the forum SPAM rules is to privately message members who you can sell to.
Keywords on the left are the ULTRA Competitive and the ones on the right are digging deeper and I GUARANTEE you that there are money making niches on the left! Remember these things IF you want to discover untapped niches web marketer;
The above tactic works with ANY keyword market and not just informational marketing. Use adjectives, verbs and synonyms searches in conjunction with keywords and you will find a GOLD MINE sooner or later.
