Happy 10th birthday Seager’s!! When Sharon Seager’s husband was transferred from Gauteng to East London, he thought it would be a good idea for her to set up her own business. After some research Sharon saw a gap in the market and decided to open a luggage shop at Retail Park. With no Retail experience, Sharon took up the challenge and with the help and guidance of her cousin, who owned two luggage shops in Pretoria, she got it going. Seager’s started out on the guidelines of what was selling up country in Pretoria and pretty soon found it’s own personality and started catering for the East London market. Introducing new trends and fashions in all aspects of what a Luggage & Gifts shop should cater for. Sharon’s ultimate goal was to Brand the business to become a “household name” and to be recognised as an owner run, service orientated family business. This has been achieved and will be maintained, by continuously delivering great service and keeping up with new trends. Sharon’s greatest reward is not the many business achievements she clocked up over the years, but having happy customers and repeat customers from all over the country. Her loyal staff, have been the key to her success and have supported her through tragedy, economic rough patches and many happy years.
