The culinary skills of executive chef Markus Mayr, who has been awarded four toques, are now being presented in the new à la carte gourmet-restaurant “The Glass Garden”, at Hotel Schloss Mönchstein***** Salzburg. This gourmet restaurant is located in the middle of the newly constructed glass dome. An expansive panorama window façade which can also be opened when the weather is right, allows restaurant guests to enjoy a breathtaking view of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. Installed in the center of the restaurant is an artistically designed hand-blown glass sculpture entitled “Chrysolite Aqua Tower” by the American artist Dale Chihuly. This glass tower is made of 140 individually crafted glass elements. Combined with the innovative lighting design, the installation provides an extraordinary atmosphere. The wellthought-out lighting concept is perfectly complemented by the hand-crafted furniture made of the most exquisite materials.
