Head Chef Elisabeth Englert and her team create contemporary dishes of the highest quality, made with the best ingredients, mainly sourced at local dealers, with a strong focus on seasonal availability. Elisabeth Englert can look back on year’s long experience at some of the best restaurants (e.g. the famous Michelin Star awarded “Käfer Schenke” in Munich) but meanwhile has created her own signature dishes which satisfy even the experienced gourmet. Her menus go very well along with the selection of wines, carefully selected by Maitré d´, Anett Pflügler, who attained her wine and service knowledge during her years at Michelin Star awarded “Königshof” Restaurant. The culinary skills of executive chef Markus Mayr, who has been awarded four toques, are now being presented in the new à la carte gourmet-restaurant “The Glass Garden”, at Hotel Schloss Mönchstein***** Salzburg. This gourmet restaurant is located in the middle of the newly constructed glass dome. An expansive panorama window façade which can also be opened when the weather is right, allows restaurant guests to enjoy a breathtaking view of Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. Installed in the center of the restaurant is an artistically designed hand-blown glass sculpture entitled “Chrysolite Aqua Tower” by the American artist Dale Chihuly. This glass tower is made of 140 individually crafted glass elements. Combined with the innovative lighting design, the installation provides an extraordinary atmosphere. The wellthought-out lighting concept is perfectly complemented by the hand-crafted furniture made of the most exquisite materials.
