Payment of Voluntary Financial Conribution at Enrolment from the 31st August 2019 •

Parents/carers are requested to make a voluntary financial contribution to support the work of the college of either; £25, £50 or £75. There is no obligation to make this contribution and not doing so will have no effect on how learners are treated during their studies. The contribution assists the college to provide learners with: -Enhanced student services provision -A full range of extra-curricular activities -Communication of news and information to parents, carers and students.

When making a contribution parents/carers can choose to giftaid the money. Click here for the form provided.

The voluntary financial contribution is non-refundable.

Payment of the voluntary contribution is to be made by students when they attend their individual enrolment appointment.

Payments can be made by cash, cheque (made payable to Chichester College Group) or debit/credit card. See page 3 of our Fees and Charges policy for more information regarding the college fund.

Fees for Academic Courses There are fees associated with the following educational courses; Health and Social Care, Sport & Sport and Exercise Science courses.

Health and Social Care (CAMTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma) •

Polo Shirt - £9.50 (available from Broadwater Sports online or in person. Click here to purchase online by the 30th Sept 2019) First Aid Training - £25 (payable at enrolment) Mandatory Online Course Book - £10 (payable at enrolment) DBS Check (Disclosure and Barring Service) ONLY if you are over 19 years of age and not eligable for benefits- £44 and you must apply and pay for this before you start the course.

Sport & Sport and Exercise Science BTEC Courses (Optional for students studying PE A Level) Students studying these courses (who are not in an Academy of Sport programme) are expected to buy an educational Worthing College Sport and PE kit package, at £76 supplied by Broadwater Sports. Fees for Academies Academy of Sport The costs and fees associated with being a member of any of our sports academies is as follows: •

Academy membership fee is £100 per year paid at enrolment.

Academy kit from Broadwater Sports are required for each sport academy. See the cost of each individual sport package at the link below, payable to Broadwater Sports). The basic package costs up to £165. For further details and to order online, click here.

£40 studio fee per course, payable at enrolment. • • •

Financial Help for Students The College aims to help those students in need of financial support to enable them to study at College. If you are over 16 and under 19 as at 31st August 2019, and meet certain criteria you may apply. Students can apply for a Learning Support Grant to receive financial help with the cost of their studies. As well as, the cost of travel, fees, trips, equipment, and other expenses. You may be eligible if your household income is below £32,000 or you are in receipt of benefits. Details of the scheme are provided on this guidance document. Worthing College is a member of the Chichester College Group and the Learning Support Grant will be administered by the Student Finance Team at Chichester College. To apply complete the application form which can be found here. How to apply for the grant: • • • •

Print the attached application form, complete it and gather photocopies of the required evidence. Then bring it by hand to Worthing College or post it to the Student Finance Team, Chichester College, Westgate Fields, Chichester, PO19 1SB. Students Aged 19+ If you are 19 or older from the 31st August 2019 you may be eligible for an Advance Learner Loan to cover your tuition fees. See pages 5-6 of the Fees and Charges Policy.
