Our 10 Promises as a College 1. What you learn will give you a fantastic boost to Your Future Each curriculum area will reach out to the community, employers and universities to build stronger connections, share experiences, knowledge, skills and understanding.

2. We’ll prepare you for employment, an apprenticeship or university to Secure Your Future We will provide you with dedicated services to support your progression to employment, an apprenticeship or university, including the provision of options of taking up Foundation Degrees as a stepping stone to employment or a full undergraduate degree.

3. We’ll get to know you more through a College/Student Relationship over time We’ll work with you in Years 9-11 by offering exciting learning events and supporting your progression to college. That means we’ll also understand your learning needs really well before you even join our community.

4. We’ll keep you informed through Communications directly to you We’ll communicate with you in the best way for you, so you don’t forget important dates and events, and you remember to do things on time. This will also get you ready for the world of work.

5. We’ll put your College Opportunities at the heart of the local community We’ll open the College up more and more to host sporting, social, economic and cultural events for the whole of our local community. We will continue to be a College of both local and national significance.

6. We’ll Support you even when the going gets tough We will provide really caring, personal support to you whilst developing your resilience and effectiveness as a learner, because we realise that your academic success is linked to your personal health and wellbeing.

7. We’ll provide experience to Enrich Your Time You’ll take part in fun, enriching, exciting learning opportunities provided through lots of external visits or inspiring people coming from outside the College to talk to you.

8. We’ll support your Health and Wellbeing We’ll continue to invest in sport, fitness, health and wellbeing facilities and services which you and the rest of the local community can benefit from.

9. You’ll learn in a smart way through Innovative Teaching & Learning Together, we’ll build a partnership between teachers and learners to experiment, learn from each other and dare to do things differently. We’ll use digital learning in new ways but we’ll always keep it human.

10. We’ll always be there For You We’ll keep in touch with you once you leave the College, so we can support you if you need it, or inspire others to be like you.
