Mountain Goats By Ahn

Mountain goats are a colour like snow. Mountain goats have hooves with toes. Mountain goats dance in the night with their wives. They make this sound: baa One is false! Mountain goats rarely dance.

Sea otters eat crabs. Sea otters are adorable. They make this sound: ee! eee eee

Red foxes sleep in the day and are awake at night. The baby fox sometimes eats its poo. Its tail helps it balance and is a warm blanket in the winter. They make this sound: rarara

Grizzly Bears By Jacob

Grizzly bears can run as fast as a truck. Grizzly bears are very small. Grizzly bears like to live with other bears. They make this sound: grrr

Two are false! Grizzly bears prefer to live alone. Grizzly bears are very large.

Coyotes By Aidan

Coyotes sleep during the daytime. Coyotes sleep all winter. Coyotes have very good eyesight and sense of smell. They make this sound: wrauoo One is false! Coyotes do not hibernate in winter.

Killer whales are born from their moms.

Red Foxes By Ruby

Fox babies are called cubs or pups or kits. The male is called a dog. The female is called a vixen. They eat rabbits, birds and other small animals. They also eat fruit and vegetables, fish, frogs and even worms. They have very good eyesight and sense of smell. They sleep during the daytime so they don’t make noise. They dig holes to live in.

Coyotes eat bunnies, rabbits, mice, rats and squirrels. They make this sound: aurr

White-tailed Deer By Turner

Two are false! Deer do not eat bunnies or foxes.

White-tailed deer have horns. Deer can eat bunnies and foxes. Deer can eat nuts. Deer can jump 2.5 metres high.

Male white-tailed deer have antlers, not horns.

Baby bears are cute. Bears sleep all winter. Bears scratch trees. They make this sound: ror

Red foxes love the Whitecaps. Red foxes are rainbow coloured. They make this sound: ooooo One is false! Red foxes are not rainbow coloured. (We don’t know if they love the Whitecaps.)

Sea Otters By Keenan

Sea otters have webbed feet. A sea otter’s fur keeps it wet. They nap on ice. They make this sound: meow meow One is false! A sea otter’s outer fur keeps its body warm and dry.

Wolves live in groups. They work together. They make this sound: aooooooo

A baby cougar has spots. Cougars eat mice. They make this sound: grrrrrrrrrr

Coyotes By Carlee

Coyotes pee on things so everyone knows they live there. They sleep in the daytime so they are awake at night. Coyotes wear shoes. One is false! Coyotes do not wear shoes.

White-tailed Deer By Lacey

Deer can jump 2.5 metres high. Deer use their white tail to warn other deer.

Wolves eat their babies. They use smell to tell each other things.

One is false! Wolves do not usually eat their babies.

Sea Otters By Rain

Sea otters stay warm with their fur. Sea otter babies are born on land. Sea otters eat sea urchins, mussels, crabs, squid, fish and shellfish. Octopus eat fish. Fish eat small fish. Small fish eat plants. One is false! They make this sound: ne ne ne

Sea otters usually have their babies in the water.

Lynx By Gia

Lynx have very large and furry paws that are like snowshoes. They can walk on the snow and not fall in. Lynx have 2000 babies a year. They make this sound: grrrrrrrr One is false! Lynx have two to four babies a year.

Squirrels bury their food.

Red foxes hate worms. They are very smart. Male red foxes are called dogs. One is false! Red foxes don’t mind worms and sometimes eat them.
