h u n g ry w i t c h o E f TH the woods By Grace

Once up on a time, I was walking to school. It was pretty windy out. It was about to rain. OK, it was raining. Woosh. Hey, my umbrella! Oh, come on, I was cold. My cat, Ginger, and my toad—sorry, my magic toad—were walking with me. I turned my back and I went the other way. My magic toad and Ginger pulled along. I didn’t want to go to school. The wind grew stronger. I spun and spun and spun. No, no, no, I couldn’t transform now or everyone would know my big, huge secret: I’m a witch! I ran and ran as fast as I could. Oh, right, I had a broom. Swoosh, my broom came. I looked up. I saw a face in the wind. I heard a big, evil laugh, “Moo ha ha! Moo ha ha!” Oh, it was the wind god. There was not a cloud in the sky. I wished there were. Wow! He came down from the sky. Yeah, it would be so hard to fight wind. “You’re wind. It’ll be easy,” I said. “You can make jokes all you want, but I’ll beat you.” We got closer. We started to fight. Punch, crunch, kapow! He was dead. “That’s right. I beat you.” His last word was “Why?” 2

I’m Ice Boy. I’m learning to write. I am with my friends. It’s a cloudy day and it’s raining and thundering. Aliens come to Earth to destroy it. I want to help. I eat ice cream and I start to transform. My head turns to ice. Then my neck and body turn into ice. Things around me also turn into ice. I’m beautiful. I talk to the aliens first, but they don’t leave. They want to take the people. I use my freezing powers and my hands freeze the aliens. They are all statues. My powers are a secret. I change back to me. The aliens are all frozen statues and I’m happy. I saved the people. The End. 3

The Other Side of Me

Lava girl By Shereese

One day I was with my friends eating vanilla ice cream with raspberry. It was nighttime and it was warm outside in the dark. That night, Dream Stealer came. He tried eating me. Dream Stealer made me mad. I started to transform. I got warm. I had raspberrycolour hair. My clothes were raspberry colour. Little cracks of lava appeared on my shirt and my raspberry shoes. Everything melted around me because I was made out of lava. I shot lava at Dream Stealer. He slowed down when I shot lava at him. The lava stopped him forever. Hooray! We did it. We went to the gelato shop to celebrate. Hooray, hooray, hooray! I ate vanilla ice cream with raspberries and it was mixed, and it was tasty. I turned back into a regular girl and talked with my friend. It was a happy ending to “Lava Girl. 4

I am watching TV with my friends at school. It is the news. All of my friends die. When I get angry my teeth get really big—as long as sharks’ teeth. When this happens, I eat hundreds of rotten fish. I use my powers to swim really fast and I use my really sharp teeth. Only Lava Girl and Mr. Electric know that I have super strength in my teeth when I am Shark Boy. Shark Boy gets hungry and eats all the people that killed my friends. Happily ever after.
