old and representing 18 nationalities and 11 different countries. Subscriptions and individual tickets to competition performances can be purchased through the Cliburn. Several free events are also on the roster: two symposia (“How Can a Wrong Note Be Perfect?” with William Westney, and a Press Jury Symposium with six of the country’s leading arts critics); a piano marathon; and a screening of They Came to Play, the award-winning documentary chronicling the 2007 Competition.
