Become a Resilience and Recovery volunteer T he severe weather this winter had us all thinking about the plight of older people. Sometimes stranded in their homes, enduring sub zero temperatures, it was a tough season for the less able. Our fantastic Resilience and Recovery volunteers did their bit to ease the burden on the blue light services and local authorities by delivering hot food and drink and checking that
people stayed warm and safe. Now we want to encourage more of you to volunteer and provide help when required. All you need is a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check, and to attend training in things like health and safety and food hygiene. All travel will be reimbursed. Find out more by contacting your local service delivery manager whose details can be found on the back cover.
