7 Way to Remove Watch Scratches

The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining. - JOHN F. KENNEDY

HELLO I AM BAK KUT TEH. I LOVE WATCHES AND SHARE THE PASSION BY GIVING PRESENTATIONS.

1) USE TOOTHPASTE • • • •

The easiest and most effective “home remedy”. Toothpaste is slightly abrasive. Used to remove minor scratches on smartphones. If it works with gorilla glass, it should work with most watch crystals.

2) USE VASELINE • Old school techie method. • Used to remove minor scratches on laptop monitors. • Seems to work effectively on plastic surfaces, but not so much on glass.

3) RUBBING ALCOHOL • • • •

Rubbing alcohol is available at most pharmacies. Can damage certain types of plastic. Do at your own risk. Damp a piece of cloth with alcohol, then wipe the scratch off.

4) PENCIL ERASER • Another old school method for removing minor scratches on laptops and tablets. • Simply use a pencil rubber to rub off the scratches. • Will only work with minor damages.

5) AUTO CLEANING PRODUCTS • Plenty of auto cleaning products out there. • Try buffing pads to remove nicks on watches. • Use windscreen polish to shine the watch crystal.

6) BANANA AND BAKING SODA • • • •

Weird method… Put baking soda on a piece of banana. Use the banana to wipe off the scratches. Effectiveness unknown.

7) POLISHING TOOLS • What the professionals do. • Use a buffing machine to shine the watch. • Not a good home remedy, but for those who are serious.
