Brownsville Burgular Busted BROWNSVILLE, Tenn.- Sheriff Melvin Bond’s deputies believe Roderick Brown, 25, is the man that broke into Leotha Boyd Jr.’s home Sunday afternoon. Brown, who has a Somerville address, was arrested by Brownsville Police yesterday. According to deputies, a man kicked in Mr. Boyd’s back door. He lives at 9006 Highway 76 South. At first Mr. Boyd didn’t know there was a burglar in his home — and the burglar, investigators believe, thought no one was at home. But Mr. Boyd discovered the burglary in process and was able to provide authorities with a description of the car. The thief had already taken a big screen TV and other electronics. An alarm system mostly likely thwarted a burglary at the 670 Woodville Road home of William and Beverly Miller. A burglar pushed a window unit air conditioner into the home and that set off the alarm system. Nothing was taken.
