Hints I collected, signs I followed, created "Myths", an homage to nature. Anywhere, anytime. This time nature is against what humanity made. Sun, Moon, fog, clouds, sky are now a threat. An indefinite pluralism for resistance, being abandoned by nature. An uncanny feeling that what will happen now after: nature watched and had enough, says "I'm here since ages". The replies of the nature will be untraditional now after. "Myths" is catching moments from a possible future. Being witness of different stages of the struggle. Stories of believes and natural phenomenons are changing, humanity continues to destroy everything. Being very closed to see unknown, mysterious replies of nature against vandalism. "Myths" doesn't say what is the time, where we are. Tries to find a way for explaining what is happening.

Mediha Didem Türemen Born in Turkey, 1982, lives in Istanbul. After bachelor's degree in Political Science at Istanbul University, she started her master degree in Cinema-TV at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. She continues her master’s thesis studies at Basic Art & Design Department in same university. Worked as art director in three feature movies, production designer of the movie “Two Lines” which premiered at 65th Venice Film Festival. Also a leading actress and art director of Turkish movie “Winds”. Her first engraving & photography solo exhibition took place in Istanbul, 2013. Received one of the "Lorenzo il Magnifico" awards on "works on paper" category with her engravings, from IX.Florence Biennale. Attended national & international biennials, triennials, group exhibitions, art fairs on photography and printmaking since 2013. Her artworks are featured in the collections of Albertina Museum, the Gabrova Museum in Bulgaria, the Drawing Museum in Macedonia, the Douro Museum in Portugal and the Istanbul Graphic Arts Museum. Her woodcut work titled “Homage to Albrecht Dürer” has been chosen for the permanent collection of the Albertina Museum, Vienna. Currently she works on different types on printmaking and photography beside her works in film industry.
