STAFF SUCCESS Since taking up the sport of Weightlifting only two years ago, Miss Harris has made extraordinary progress – achieving some great feats within her relatively short time in the sport. Her first performance of note came at the 2015 British Universities Championship where she fought of tough competition from a young Team GB lifter to take the Gold medal. Since then, she has gone from strength to strength, qualifying for the English Championships, where she was placed 5th, to competing at the British Championships and Rio Olympic trials later in the year. In addition to this, she has also achieved numerous local and regional medals. Her goals in the near future are to hit a 150kg total at The English National Championships early next year and to qualify for the British Championships once again.

Our U16 girls (M.Reid-Cain-Y10, S.Hoare-Y10 and M.Pascoe-Y11) joined forces with the girls from Newbury Volleyball Club to form a six – person team and made amazing progress throughout the day which culminated in them nearly toppling a very experienced London team in the last match (23-25)! In addition to being their first competition, our U16's had to cope with working with brand new teammates as well — and they did an amazing job. Well done, everyone!!!

SPONSOR A SQUARE
‘Sponsor a Square’ is a new appeal to help raise money for our pitches. We have asked each tutor group to try to raise £50 each to purchase a square in the name of their tutor group. They will be able to add the name and picture of their tutor group and a small message on the square they have sponsored online and they will be acknowledged on a donor board at the new facility.
