2018 Fly Casting World Championship Wyldecrest Parks’ bid to host the 2018 Fly Casting World Championship has been successful, allowing Port Haverigg Marina Village Holiday Park to be the stage of a recognised multinational competition. The Fly Casting World Championship, which is held in August every two years, is owned by the Norwegian Casting Federation. In 2018, it will be the fifth event of its kind and it’s coming to the UK, directly to the 200-acre fresh water lake of our stunning holiday park in Millom, Cumbria, after having taken place in Estonia this year. The championship is a six discipline competition: five distance casting events and one accuracy casting event. In total, there will be 36 medals up for the taking. And Port Haverigg Marina Village Holiday Park will be ready to welcome the world!
