Merry Christmas As we say goodbye to 2021, on behalf of the team I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for being a part of Wyndham Tech School through each of our transitions. This year we welcomed 9,246 students and 594 teachers through our remote and in person programs. Hosted 73 industry visitors and 1,511 community members through programs and events. Of our 37 partner schools in Wyndham and Hobsons Bay, 90% have connected with us this year. We have enjoyed working with you all and look forward to what 2022 has to offer.
Term Four Highlights This term we launched our eSports Arena and entrepreneurship program and hosted the Virtual F1 in Schools Victorian State Final. Our STEM Student Leadership Program connected students with industry specialists, we activated our spaces in partnership with Greater Western Water and celebrated a successful vaccination challenge in partnership with MyClinic.
eSports Arena and Entrepreneurship Program
My Clinic Robot Challenge WTS team members took on the challenge to automate the process of filling syringes with the Covid vaccine using automated robotic arms to support the vaccination rollout. Students interact with this automation process through our Future of Work program and in 2022 this project will become an immersive program for students.
A major highlight this year was the creation of our world-class eSports Arena and development of our 10 week eSports entrepreneurship program – a first in Victoria! Schools are lining up to participate with four schools already registered to take part next year.

They participated in several events throughout the year including; a breakfast launch, Future of Work holiday program, program feedback sessions, mentoring sessions, pitching workshop and GirlsCAN advisory panel. Space Activation: GWW and Smart City Pop-Ups Through our on-going partnerships we have activated two spaces and programs; our AI in Engineering with Greater Western Water and Data Immersion program with Wyndham City Councils Smart City office. These two programs will be offered to students in 2022.
As we enter our holiday season on behalf of the team at WTS, we wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a relaxing break. We look forward to welcoming you back to WTS in 2022 and sharing new initiatives and we strive to provide our schools with a leading STEM education facility in the West.
