GirlsCAN Workshop during the Term 2 Holidays
Welcome to Term Three Term Two welcomed 1,842 students and 68 teachers through our doors. The team delivered a full range of programs across all year levels, including the future of work, industry and immersion programs and VCE masterclasses. Highlights included the launch of our CSIRO CyberTaipan Challenge, commencement of our student leader mentoring, student engagement programs for student struggling to re-engage in learning and our very first GirlsCAN workshop. We completed out two production studios one complete with green screen and the second setup for podcasting and interviewing. We have lots happening in Term Three, with schools invited to participate in Wyndham’s Young Scientist Competition, attend our AWS Inspiring Women in Tech Event and a Robotic Afterschool program. We have opened bookings for 2023 and encourage you all to secure your days for next year. Wishing you all a safe and successful term three and look forward to see you soon.

Future of Work
Book your year level for 2023 100 Students

Book Now Years 7 - 9
Schools can now book the Future of Work program for 2023. This program has been designed to cater for students in years 7 to 9. Aimed towards core subject groups such us Mathematics, Science and English, students participate in 4 hands-on rotations focusing on in-demand skills or emerging careers of the future.
Game Development After-School Program Year 7 – 10 students are invited to register for this terms after-school Game Development program, run by Minecraft specialist, Lynne Telfer.
Every Wednesday in Term 3 and 4 4pm - 5pm Online, a Zoom link will be sent out weekly
MAKE A GAME Want to make a 3D game? This club will ensure you will learn and practice a series of skills to create your own game at home.
WEEKLY CHALLENGES We have fun challenges each week as we learn important expertise. Earn points each week with extra bonus challenges.
GAME DEV TUTORIALS All sessions are recorded and uploaded onto our YouTube, so if you miss a day, you can catch up before the next session!
MULTIPLE GAME ENGINES We will be covering Unity, Un-real Engine, and Godot to meet your game engine preferences.

Inspire Robotics After School Program Inspire Robotics offers a 20 week program that takes students from an introductory understanding of programming to the design and programming of real physical robots to play soccer against each other. The program aims to inspire students with the power of STEM, and to inspire their future careers. The program concludes with a tournament where in teams, students use the robots they built to play robot soccer against each other. No prior skills or equipment are necessary.

Inspiring Women in Tech Event This free 2 hour event aims to inspire female students to consider career pathways in technology through interacting with 10-12 inspiring women working in technology roles across Amazon Web Services. The event will begin with a panel interview session, involving 5-6 student volunteers, followed by a speed networking activity where students will engage with AWS professionals. Students will get to quiz them about what they do in their job, their career journey since leaving school, and share advice gained through their experiences. Students will be encouraged to ask questions and interact in an informal manner. See this video for a similar event held in NSW.
We have places for 4 schools to bring up to 25 female students to participate. Please email us to register your interest in this event.

Young Scientist Competition of Wyndham 2022 Inviting students in years 7-12 to show off their inventions and special projects for ‘Building a Resilient Sustainable Wyndham’ Students are encouraged to work on a project that links back into making a better tomorrow for Wyndham. This includes making live models, presentations and installations that are both creative and innovative.
