Welcome to Term Two The Wyndham Tech School team welcomed 2,126 students through our doors in Term One to participate in programs in our refurbished spaces and interact with a variety of STEM learning experiences, programs and projects.

Student Voice Term One saw over 200 young women participate in our International Women’s Day breakfast co-hosted by a young student leader from Williamstown High School. Other highlights include the launch of our very first Student Leadership Program. We had 33 students apply and 16 students from Bayside Secondary, Emmanuel College, Point Cook Secondary, Tarneit Secondary, The Grange, Werribee Secondary and Williamstown High chosen to participate. We kicked off the program with a welcome breakfast where students heard from the founder of JT Productions, Julia Truong. Industry Job Trends Digital technologies are transforming economies in the Asia Pacific, a report commissioned by AWS discusses the potential for the APAC region. Home to over half of the world’s Internet users, 60 per cent of the APAC region’s GDP will be derived from digital products or services, with technologies adding 0.8 percent annually to GDP. This contribution is likely to increase in the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are in the middle of a digital reskilling revolution, every industry sector uses digital technologies, education providers have a role to play in understanding the digital skills used in the workforce today, by 2025, the average worker will need to gain seven new digital skills to keep pace with technological change. The Wyndham Tech School team looks forward to bringing you the knowledge and resources that will support your school.
