Each quarter Triumph art students create both personal artwork and artwork for theme-based shows in the community.

In the fall, Triumph students participated in the Dia de los Muertos art show at the Wyoming State Museum and in February they participated in an art show at the Civic Center that responded to the music of a Symphony Concert that was performed there. Our upcoming art shows include the Capital City Art Show, which will be at Storey Gym April 10-14th and a text themed show that will be at the Laramie County Library at the end of April. We also plan to participate in the cross-walk mural paintings downtown

Students have the opportunity to take multiple levels of one class if they want to dive deep into a single media, or mix it up and get a taste of everything. Wilson reiterates, “It is important for students to have choice and voice in many of their assignments so that they will continue to make personal artwork for the joy of art making and I think it is important to have these larger community experiences like the city art shows, so that they will value and support the arts in their communities down the road.

Heroes and Villains Concert

A collaboration between LCCC’s music, theatre and arts departments will bring a captivating event exploring heroism and villainy. The Office of Youth Alternatives Foster Grandparent Program is looking for tutors/mentors that are 55 years and older to work with children in a classroom setting that need extra support. Silent Witness Crime of the Week

The Cheyenne Police Department is investigating a recent surge of burglaries where criminals are targeting valuable items left inside of vehicles.

In the past 30 days, we have received more than 50 reports of these incidents throughout Cheyenne. In over half of these cases, vehicle windows were broken, while others gained access through unlocked doors.

Officers are contacting persons of interest and detectives are actively pursuing leads. We encourage citizens to exercise caution anytime vehicles are left unattended. Do not leave valuable items or firearms inside of parked vehicles and always remember to lock up.

Additionally, video evidence can be very valuable in these investigations‚ we recommend installing surveillance cameras in a location that captures parked vehicles. Anyone with information or surveillance video of these crimes is encouraged to contact the detective bureau at (307) 637-6513.

Charles served in the U.S. military in WWII as a medic. He met his beautiful bride and wife of 65 years, Kate Angelie Johansson, in the war and they were later married in Springfield, Illinois

In 1960, Charles began his lifetime career in the automotive industry, moving to Chicago 2 years af ter, where he managed a Honda dealership. He managed the same dealership company another 30 years until his retirement in 1992. Apar t from managing his company, Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to go fishing, hiking, and bowling whenever he had the time. He also spent most of his years volunteering at the local community center Charles is survived by his wife, Kate; daughters, Emma (Andrew) Smith and Scarlet (Tony) Ford; son Anthony (Pearl) Rogers; grandchildren, Joshua Smith, Ellie Ford, Joey, Talia, and Julia Rogers; brothers, Manuel and Chad Rogers; sisters, Kathr yn Perr y, Catherine Jones and Kayla Smith; cousins Joseph, Jeffrey, Felix, Hanna, and Amy; and numerous nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and older sister, Amy Wilkinson.
