WEEK 3 READING: TITLE OF READING
Question 1: What is Pictorial Space according to Le Corbusier? According to the reading, the Pictorial Space in Le Corbusier’s view is space that cannot be entered and circulated through. In addition, it is a frontal and flat space which will always remain as a space in distance for the reason that the nature of a cureless space gives the illusion ofdistance.
Question 2: The Flatness of Le Corbusier’s painting’s are attributable to two properties. What are they? And what are these pitted against? The Flatness of Le Corbusier’s painting are contributed to two properties of pure extension of flatness and mariage de contour. The contrast bteween black and white can give a depth to all the objects which can also represent different depths by using different ways to draw the it. In addition, they are pitted against the use of black, texture creating contrast.

MARIO’S WORLD

1ST MARIO’S WORLD
Both the 2d-Mario world picture and the tracing paper are set up on my desk and make sure both of them maintain 45 degree angle with the edge of the desk. Using 2H pencil and set square to project lines forward from the template.

COMBINED MARIO’S WORLD
Details are added to the mario world such as characters, depth and decoration.

WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING
Question 1: Explain the difference between Pictoral (in this case perspectival) space and Projection?
From my understanding of the reading, the Pictorial space records things that are already exit while the Projection consists things come fron the imagination. Vanishing point is one different characteristic between Pictorial space and Projection. When a vanishing point appeared, means it now creating a closed, limit place. However, the Projection has parallel lines so that there is no point of intersection and it is suitable for present universal or unclosed space.
Question 2: Where did Axonometric projection first arise, and why? At the early twentieth century, a group of revolutionary, avantgarde artists wanted to go beyond art’s traditional role of interpreting the world to imagine an art cap able of constructing new worlds by projection rather than flat pictorial space, then the Axonometric projection first arose. The earliest systemetric description of it occured in a milltary context. The appearance of axonometric drawing has developed the progress of architectural representation.

ILLUSTRATED MARIO’S NEW WORLD
During the whole process from the two mario pictures to the projection, I have learnt a lot from this module. Firstly, I tried my best to learn how to use illustrator and indesign which are two software I have never use before, I had some trouble at the beginning of adding colour into the images, however I solved those problems in ashort time and started to focus on the creativity of the base, style and concept of my mario world. I chose the concept of “city-ofsky” which is full of music element because I hope this “city” can spread music to all the places in this world so that people can enjoy the music and full of happiness everyday.
