ABOUT ETIHAD MODERN ART GALLERY Etihad Modern Art Gallery is an independently run, sponsored art gallery located at the heart of Abu Dhabi – United Arab Emirates. Our primary goal is to develop the next generation of artists through exciting and different exhibitions, events and exclusive publications from a breadth of talent. The talent at Etihad Modern Art Gallery doesn’t distinguish or discriminate between contemporary, urban, street and pop art, rather embrace and look to display visually engaging exhibitions from a hybrid of artistic disciplines. The gallery’s main goal is to offer affordable original artworks and limited editions, combined with the belief that the works on display must have a strong visual impact and high quality production. This is what unites all of the artists we work with, as many experiment with a variety of different media from a multitude of backgrounds and disciplines. The gallery’s founder, H.E. Khaled Seddiq Al Muttawaa, created a friendly and versatile art environment that is open to everyone. Over the past three years Khaled has always championed new and interesting visual artists, irrespective of background or discipline. He has seen a huge number of what were once seen as new and emerging artists grow into the household names that are now collected all over the world. The championing of new artists and their work has never been more prominent than in the last 3 years. Etihad has organised significant art shows and local heritage exhibitions and created bonds with the International art scene and academic institutions worldwide. The gallery has invited international artists to live, teach and create art in the UAE. The aim is to motivate local artists to showcase their work and host a wide range of parallel cultural activities like art workshops, poetry nights and music events. Etihad Modern Art Gallery is a strong art organisation deeply rooted in the local community, aiming to play a positive role in the brightly emerging art scene of Abu Dhabi and integrating different cultures with the local community.
عن جالیري االتحاد للفن الحدیث یعد ھدفنا.یعمل و ی ُرعى الجالیري بصورة مستقلة ویقع مقره يف قلب أبوظبي باإلمارات العربیة املتحدة وكذلك،الرئیيس ھو تطویر الجیل القادم من الفنانین من خالل إقامة املعارض والفعالیات املثیرة واملبتكرة ال متیز املوھبة يف جالیري االتحاد.املنشورات الحرصیة التي تضم مجموعة واسعة من املواھب املعارصة للفن الحدیث أو تفاضل بین الفن املعارص أو الحرضي أو فن الشارع أو فن البوب ولكن یحتضن الجالیري ویقدم معارض برصیة تضم مجموعات واسعة من األذواق الفنیة. وتتامثل مبادي الجالیري األساسیة بتقدیم أعامل فنیة أصلیة وإصدارات محدودة بأسعار معقولة باملعتقد إن ذلك ما یجمع بین جمیع.أن األعامل التي نقدمھا یجب أن یكون لھا تأثی ًرا برصیاً ھائال وجودة يف اإلنتاج الفنانین الذین نعمل مھم حیث نقدم تجربة متنوعة من الوسائط املختلفة النابعة من خلفیات وموضوعات متعددة. وعىل.خالد صدیق املطوع عىل تكوین بیئة ودیة ومتعددة فنیاً تكون متاحة للجمیع/عمد املؤسس السید خالد العدید من الفنانین التشكیلین الجدد والرائعون بغض النظر/مدى الثالث سنوات املاضیة نارص السید وعزز بدوره الحیاة املھنیة لعدة فنانون وصفوا يف ذلك الوقت بالجدد.عن خلفیاتھم أو موضوعاتھم والفنانون الصاعدون وراقبھم وھم یصنعون أسامئھم التي ذاع صیتھا يف جمیع أنحاء العامل. إن جالیري االتحاد للفن الحدیث مؤسسة متتد جذورھا داخل املجتمع املحيل وتھدف إىل أداء دور إیجايب مل ُتبز منارصة.يف الساحة الفنیة الناشئة يف أبوظبي وتكامل الثقافات املختلفة داخل املجتمع املحيل إن ھدفنا األسايس ھو توفیر منصة للفنانین.ودعم الفنانون الجدد وأعاملھم حتى السنوات الثالث املاضیة املحلیین لعرض أعاملھم واستضافة مجموعة متوازیة من األنشطة الثقافیة مثل ورش العمل الفنیة واألمسیات الشعریة والحفالت املوسیقیة.

In order to find a wide range of artistic talent, we launched an open call for Emirati-based artists to submit works that were inspired by the exhibition motto. Our aim is to show how local artists can project our values and culture into the future and how they envision what lies ahead for the UAE. How can we preserve our traditions while keeping up with the latest trends? How do artists see the future? What is the next step for artistic talent in the country? - Fascinating questions to be answered at the group show. The exhibition will feature some of the best-known established artists of our country, as well as young talent, who bring a fresh, new character to Emirati art, be it new media, unique style, or a completely unexpected perspective.
