VUnder11’s-North10vsMillicent16 progressed. At the other end of the court our defensive in and around the ring was tight all game long, however in the last quarter when it was really needed Stella stepped it up another gear ensuing the defence line continued to turn the ball over which lifted the whole team and enabled us to outscore Millicent by 9 and walkawaywiththepoints.

We had a tough game against West, whichwasgoodforthegirlstocome up against after having two easy wins. We allowed West to take the ball on numerous occasions with bad passing. we need to push the pass out in front and continue to meet theballontherun.
However a good game overall with some nice shooting, excellent defenseandgoodpressure.
Issy Cook had a great game on the wing and fed the goalies well. Bob had her first game in the shooting circle and found her feet to have a greatgameaswell.
Liana was put on the defensive wing and she put in a great game making her player earn the ball. Sailor had another good game in the middle, connectingdefensetoattack.
Keep working hard and stay focused onourtaskgirls, theimprovementis certainlythere.

Great effort girls. The defence played well to get the turnovers and brought it down court to the mid court that feed the goalies well What we learn at training we need to bring that to game day so let’s train well and we will eventually get thewin.

It was a wet, cold start to our Saturday morning but that didn't stop the smiles. The court was slippery, and the ball was tricky to grasp but the girls displayed their absolute best efforts to support each other We had lots of seamless passages of play that demonstrated our teams emerging strengths. Best players were Ivy Levine and Piper Mulraney Ivy is showing huge improvement every week, she is eager to learn and always smiling. Piper continues to show her versatility, she is an energetic and enthusiastic team member Well done girls, you should all be very proud.

We are starting to build some connections and had some really good passages of play when we chose the right passing option. Addi K and Ava got their hands to lots of ball in defense. Awards this week went to Zoe and Isla, who both implemented advice given and kept trying hard. Let's keepbuildingonoverallteamworkmoving forward. Good effort by all girls in wet conditions.

The girls fought hard, focussing on smaller targets that would eventually impact the score. Their tireless efforts reduced the gap to only 6 goals at the final whistle.

A tough game this week for the girls after having a really strong start to the season, going down 14-19. Our team’s defence, Penny, Isabella, Lacey and Zoe, put on an outstanding performance by creating many turnovers throughout the game They displayed great anticipation and positioning skills which forced Millicent to make mistakes and lose possession of the ball. Our attackers drove hard all game, and although they were unable to convert all these opportunities into goals, their persistent efforts helped maintain pressure and keep the game closely contested. Overall, it was a great team effort with everyone playing a crucial role inthegame.

A really solid team effort by all 8 players saw us come away with a great win. We started out strong with Macey taking control of the attack line ensuring Sarah was able to find her feet in the ring and really grow with confidence as the game
After a really good training session during the week, we finally saw the results on the scoreboardwithourfirstwinoftheseason 46-36.Ourdefenceheldstrongalldaywith another consistent effort from Rebecca Johnson, Sarah Nieuwenhuizen and Kahlia Egan. These girls applied pressure down the court and forced countless turnovers. Our goalies had their strongest performance yet and converted on scoreboard We look to continue developing areas of our game, although Saturday highlighted how far we have come with our ball movement and transition down the court We look forwardtothenextchallengeahead.

Still not the win but a much better display of netball today Our pressure has lifted, and our connections are starting to form. With Justine out to injury we were able to utilise U15 Ruby Mitchell for her first run onaseniorcourt, whichalsogaveusalittle extra height in defence Again, our defenders were superb and never stopped with their pressure Our midcourt are getting there with the transition down courttoourgoalies.Withsomemorework on our passing selections, we will be a strongteam.

A huge congratulations to Alycia for playing her 100th game for the club, unfortunately we didn’t come away with a win for the occasion however there were some positives to take from the game and it was great to see the seniors on court support the juniors around them. Riley while still finding her feet in the defensive circle combined well with Jessie with the two of them ensuring their goalies worked hard for every ball, while at the other end of the court Alycia had another very consistent game shooting with accuracy Also, a big thanks to Coco, Jayme, Sarah andToraforfillingin, yougirlslistenedwell and did everything asked of you on court whichwaspleasingtosee.

Onceagainthegoaliesplayedafantastic game, watching them improve each week is just what a coach wants. Lucy and Aleisha played with skill and accuracysupportedaroundthecircleby Halle and Charlotte. The defence team of Macy and Ellie, backed by Tully at WD kept the pressure up all game. Those girls are learning from each other and becoming a great combination. At half time Imogen came on at GA and slotted in with Lucy in the goals. Alex joined the attack at WA. I am very lucky to have girls coming off the bench that can slot into the game so easily At ¾ time I put CharlottebackonatCandElliebackinto GD to give us some fresh legs to finish the game off We came away with a 2 goal win. The weekend at Casterton Sandford was certainly a mixed bag…
Firstly thanks to everyone who accommodated the change in time (especially those who forgot and were at island park a little early!!!)
The day started strongly with our precious little 11 & under girls securing their first time for the season…
Everyone played so well and it is a testament to the work the girls have been doing given how young the side is – even the 'veteran' players!!!!
In the 15Bs Layla is showing great promise as a goalie, while Lily was important through the mid court and Amber has proved to be a real find with her strength and accuracyintheshootingcircle…
TheCGradehadanothergoodwin as they remain undefeated –Alannah dominating the first half in defence; Ella showing her usual timing on the move and accurate finishing in goals; Brooke was outstanding on the attacking wing and in goals and Jess just kept cratingturnovers.
Another great game against a strong East side. Amazing strength shown by ourattackers, standingtallonsomevery strong defenders Once again, our defenders were key contributors to our turn overs, always watching ball and putting forward second efforts. Our mid court were brilliant feeders, applying pressurewhereneededatcentrepasses and around the goal circle. We look forward to this week's home game versing South. The 13b West girls had a tough game against East. The girls in black and red jumpedoutofthegateandneverlooked back. The young west team struggled to keep up with the older and taller East girls. However they never dropped their heads. Fighting until the last whistle. Best on court went to Ruby Lamb and MollyThomas.

Another great win girls against East this week! Fabulous defence efforts awarding us with many turnovers. Our mid court efforts were strong and feeding into our shooters was on point. The girls had a really strong start against East this week. They got some good interceptionswithgreatgoalconversion with being up by 10 goals at ¼ time. The 2nd quarter saw the girls struggle in the first half but then pick themselves up and had a great second half and were still ahead by 11 at half time. The 3rd quarter they battled through but after some silly errors we let them back into the game but brought it back and still managed to be up at ¾ time. The final quarter we had some tired bodies but the girls never gave up and ended up withtheirsecond winof theseason by6 goals. As we only had 7 players we want to thank all the U/17s that sat on our bench.

This was an impressive team win. Tahlia and Lucy worked tirelessly together all day displaying some great moves Carlee was everywhere and her experience was key for us. Maddi and Chelsea created many turnovers in defence all day Everyone worked hard and we were able to put together 4 strongquarters.

Another grind for the first 3 quarters with the last quarter opening up for us. Happytohavefinishedthegamelikewe did. Sarah was on fire today and was unstoppable with ball in hand Our defence built throughout the game and the pressure we were able to apply was rewarded particularly in that last quarter Hope Casey has a speedy recoveryandtheinjuryisn'tserious
Courtney and Myla led the way with four strong quarters of netball, whileLaceyandLarawere alsoimpressive…
Elsie Sims and Coco showed how fartheyhavecomebysecuringthe match day awards – both are basically smiling assassins they look sweet and they can be but on court they are becoming tough competitors…
Elsie had great timing on her lead in goal shooter and Coco just kept getting her hands on the ball and createdturnoversatgoalkeeper…
Chloe was also a great performer, playing her favoured position of wingdefence…
For Ebony, Lily, Mia & Willow it was their first win as Demons and they all contributed – Ebony is a dynamic mid courter who makes great decisions with ball in hand, Lily was our captain and looks to be showing great defensive skills, Mia made great space in the shooting circle and finished well and Willow plays with gusto and was important at both ends of the court.
The15&underAand15&underB had great wins which was reward for effort, especially for coaches BrandiandMisty
Gracie was a standout in the 15A victory, whileRubyjustranhardall day and showed her court smarts to great effect, while Kasey showed real promise as a circle defender and Tyga is really finding herfeetintheshootingcircle…
Chelsea had an impact in goal shooter and goal keeper, while Jadecontinuestoimpresswithher ability to win back the ball and Misty was her usual reliable self –just getting the job done with no fussorfanfare.
The B Grade also had a great win but it came at a cost with the lovely Alyce rupturing her Achilles after having arguably the best three game return to the court of anyone–ever!!!!
ThebestnewsofthedaywastheA Grade working their way to their first win Alyssa and Ellie were outstanding, Sophie impressed, especially given the close physical attention she had to combat, while Mykaela continues to show she is not out of place in the A Grade defensive circle, Tully is making her mark back on the defensive wing and Megan looks the perfect fir=t for the wing attackrole.
Gracie is also arguably the best news of the round – she is more than holding her own in A Grade andherlastquarterwasoutofthe box and shows she will be critical inthe2023season…
