Last weekend we played North at North, it was a competitive day in most grades. We also had the Rump and Red night, which was full of lots of fun and socialising, great to see so many people there! On Thursday, we had our annual buddynight, whichwasawesomeforthe younger children to work with the older club members. This week we play Castertonaway

Another wet, slippery morning, the girls encountered their closest game yet! Both teams adjusted to a short game to maintain possession! Scores were even right up to the last quarter making it an excitingfinish.Afteracoupleofchanges, we were able to sneak ahead with some fantastic feeding into the circle and accurate shooting form by the goalies to take the win! Awards went to Zarla Thomson Wendy’s) and Isabelle Zalme (BakersDelight).

Last week, we started off slowly with it being a close and even first quarter Eventually we started to turn over the ball and execute these on the scoreboard, but still not being able to extend our lead much. Another day of wet conditions affected our goalie’s accuracy and north applied a good full court defensive pressure. The girls need to keep working hard at training and listening to ensure we are ready and improving more before finals! Best players were Lucy and Amarlie and the JM Incentive award went to Scarlett for hersecondeffortsalldayindefence.

Awesomeworktodaygirls.Afterastrong start you were able to keep to going through the whole game. Everyone was leading to the ball and using front cuts. The transition down the court worked well with everyone coming to the ball and clearing out. Let’s come out firing this week. Best players were Olivia and Brydie.

We started the match well with some great defensive pressure and were patient in attack to score. The second quarterremainedthesameasthematch continued to go goal for goal. North lifted their intensity in the second half and we lost our flow to suffer our first loss for the season. We have lots to take from the match and we will continue to work hard at training. Tough day for the girls going down to North by13. Despite the margin the girls fought hard all game making North work hard for the win. Our defensive pressure was tireless all game lead by Lexi and Jeda in GK and GD Ella, Lainie and Eva ran the mid-court well while our new goalie combo for the day of Tahnee & Asha did a great job and worked well together. Best players were Eva and Asha.

We started the game a bit slow, but worked our way back at the end of the first and then played our style of game for the second quarter We had good passages in the second half and capitalised on any turnovers Our passing into the goalies was great with our goalies rewarding the hard work of the defenders. Let’s regroup and come out hard this week. Best players were LaurenandLillie.

Another wet and windy day which really slowed our game down causing some mistakes early in the game. Some good things were happening through the quarters but unfortunately the girls weren’t playing their best. We need to keep on working as a team and keeping our heads in the game to hopefully get another win on the board next week. BestplayerswereHaileyandElla.

Wet and slippery conditions slowed our game down and we had to have precise decisionmakingandpassingthroughthe mid court ! Our attackers worked hard making space for each other The teamwork in the goal circle is getting better each week. Defensively we forced alotoferrorsandhadgoodintercepts. It wasahardfought4quartergamewithus coming away with a 6-goal win! Keep working hard and being consistent girls! The wet and slippery conditions posed a daunting challenge yet again, causing some unexpected turnovers and limiting scoring opportunities. As the first half concluded, we found ourselves trailing by 11. A switch up with Lisa and Lillie at the main break The girls exhibited unwavering determination, digging deep and incredible resilience to get back into the game They fought tenaciously, intercepting balls and executed seamless transitions to find Demi and Tab under the post The highlight from the game came when we turned the tide With teamwork and good ball retention, we staged a remarkable comeback, outscoring our opponents 25 to 17 in the second half Although disappointed withthe opening 2quarterscredittothegrouptheynever gave up, pushing hard until the very last minute, falling short by 3.
