ItwasagooddaytobeplayingEast Gambier at Island Park for our juniors with 3 out of 4 teams havingawin,andallteamsplaying exceptionallywell.

Under11s:

Ouryoungestplayerslost2-14but it was not a reflection of how hard all 14 girls worked from either end of the court Bridie, Mia and Sienna got special mentions on the weekend. Coach Phoebe saw some great defending in the ring from Hannah, Bridie, Sienna and Bailey, with the assistance of Cleo and Sylvie offering helpful pressureon and off thering.Ruby, Penelopi, Mia and Abbie made excellent leads off the attacking line for each centre pass. The girls didn’t stop there with Imogen and Nicola doing the leg work up and down the court, to get the ball to Kate and Aubree practicing their preliminary moves from training inthegoalring.

Under13B’s:

Good win finishing with a score line 37-5 Ylana, Renee and Marleespecialmentions.

Under13A’s:

Brooklyn and Georgia brought their team across the finish line by 13points,31-18.

Under15B’s:BYE

Under15A’s:

After the loss last week Rachel, Makayla and Amy were stoked to help their team come away with a win36-28.

Seniors:

Under17s:

It was a close game running away withaonegoalvictory52-51.Indi, Madeline and Sarah special mentions.

CGrade:

The girls were out of luck losing 20-55. Katie, Michelle and Jamie keptspiritshighdespitethescoreline.

BGrade:

Anotherwinundertheirbeltswith Amber, Dakota and Anna matching the East girls as they steppedupthepressureinthelast half Finished up with a 9 goal win 47-38.

AReserves:

Tori, Paige and Claire helped hit the game out of the park having a greatwin61-25.

AGrade:

Unfortunately came away with a loss 19-38. Special mentions to Madalene,CaeleighandChelsey shot also provided relentless pressure.

VAlways a tough day out when we head to Millicent but there were still some good signs with the B andCGradeteamsagainflyingthe flag strongly with two strong p e r fo r m a n c e s to re m a i n undefeated.

C Grade, under the guidance of Larnka, has a versatile line-up and after showing good composure under pressure in round one, they took control of the game early at theweekend.

At the other end of the court, South’ssisteractofMelandSamis looking really good with their goodunderstanding,speedonthe moveandaccuratefinishing.

Themidcourtwasalsoonfirewith Hannah and Kaitlyn providing plenty of drive and Shelby doing a mountain of work to create turnovers and then be the key link player through the middle of the court. The defensive efforts of Jess, Alannah, Jade and Mel created plenty of turnover ball and then the hard running mid court of Misty and Ash made sure defence turned into offence in the blink of aneye.

Theshootingcirclehasalsolooked good whether it be Chelsea, Brooke and Ella in the roles and they made sure the scoreboard kepttickingover…

The B Grade has also looked good in the opening two rounds with coach Leyna Bruggemann and assistant Ange Queale also conjuring wins in two ways In round one it was a domination where as at the weekend they kept getting challenged and rose tothatchallengeeverytime.

Alyce and Maca are such a tough defensive combination to score against and they both came up w i t h s o m e i m p r e s s i v e interceptions and rebounded strongly, while their work over the

Ourjuniorteamshavehadatough start against two of the stronger clubs in junior ranks but it has been great to already see improvement and that will continue with some more competitive outings in the next few weeks as hew line-ups look to maketheirmark.
