Monday: Camden
Meet up with the group in the morning for a delicious pancake breakfast at the hostel. Then we jump on a bus heading north to Camden market passing Trafalgar Square in Downing Street and Westminster Abbey en route. We check out one of London’s most famous markets, a groovy place to hang out get to know other members of the group and adjust to being in your new time zone. Pack light because you can buy plenty of stuff here! In the evening we are going to hit some of the best pubs on a massive pub crawl where you’re going to meet lads of new Mates
Tuesday Time to explore! We will check out the centre of London with all Of its historical attractions on an awesome Xtreme Gap treasure hunt! You will be split into teams & embark on a big treasure hunt around some of London’s major sites with cryptic clues via text message. In the afternoon we head to one of London’s famous comedy clubs, and then onto an indie bar to listen to some of the best bands coming out of London.
Accommodation is based in a top rated central London Hostel.
Everything is on your doorstep and you are right on the Banks of the River Thames overlooking the iconic Battersea Power Station. Free Wi-Fi, soft drinks and breakfast included.
Wednesday
Wednesday we hit east London on two wheels. Home to some of the world´s most amazing street art. It’s time to brush up on your Banksy!
Explore Brick Lane, Shoreditch, Hoxton, Hackney and Islington, and discover tucked away, hidden gems. You will see things like the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and loads of iconic areas from London’s historical East End. Each tour is kept unique and we will take you to places of interest based around what you want to see. Bicycles are handmade British Victorian bicycles, if you want to wear a top hat and monocle well that’s up to you.
Thursday Today we get out of the city, and head to Stonehenge. Who built it? Why? Seriously if you find out please let us know! In several hours outside London where you’ll see some of England’s glorious rolling countryside, but we will have you back in time at dinner in London. As an alternative activity you can learn to cook like Jamie Oliver in Clapham. You head to Recipese. There's something for everyone at Recipease. Whether you're a complete novice or a seasoned pro, you can come here to ask questions, learn new skills, get inspiration and try some really fantastic food.
This evening we are heading to the social for the legendary hip-hop karaoke! Watch londoners rip up some bad ass Dre Dre... You don’t want too get to smashed tonight as you have a job interview next day!
Friday This morning you will be picked up by taxi and taken to your job interview. This will be followed by your training course. Once this is complete it will enable you to work. You will be joining a high-end events and staffing company. So you could be working in private parties, events , weddings film premieres, or corporate hospitality. Expect to be placed in some of London’s top prestigious venues. First you need to pass the interview, pretty much a formality if you’re presentable and clean shaven and keen: you will be guaranteed work.
Your new life starts here. From Saturday is up to you. You can extend your accommodation with a ten-day accommodation upgrade, or find a flat share with one of the group. We give you plenty of advice on what to do with a comprehensive work in London predeparture pack. After your interview you will be to login and book jobs so you can start working ASAP. Because the work is flexible on event basis, it leaves you the flexibility and freedom to go off and travel, or work when you want to. It really is the best of both worlds. Freedom and income.
So at the end of the week you are let loose in London. Remember you are not alone. You will have guaranteed work and new Friends to settle in with. Of course we could not say goodbye without having one final awesome night out, so we will take you out to one of the U.K.’s super clubs. Ministry of Sound or fabric depends on who’s playing and where, but one thing is sure this will be an epic night.
