CONTAINMENT BOOMS
Xtreme Booms feature good wave conformity and stability for protected water applications. The booms are suitable for all scenarios including open water, large lakes, ports, oceans, ice packs and high seas. The fabric used in the manufacture of the booms feature attributes such as resistance to salt water, oils & fuels and a high abrasion and very good flex abrasion resistance. The floatation of the boom features excellent buoyancy, a fully closedcell which will not absorb water even if the material is cut open and it is resistant to chemicals, oils & fuels. These booms were designed by Kevin Kelly who was motivated by making certain observations in the booming industry. He observed that when the winds were quite high the booms would lift out of the water and whatever it was containing at that stage escaped. He decided to look at something that the wind would rather blow flat in the water as opposed to lifting it up. It would also flutter and create a ripple on either side of itself, thereby forcing the oil to be contained in a certain determined area dependent on the wind direction and the direction of the ripple created by the flutter.
OIL RESPONSE UNIT
The Oil Response Unit is a unique operational design which can accommodate any type of Hydrocarbon or Chemical spill. The concept of the Oil Response Unit allows us to manufacture the container to your required specifications in order to clean up and contain a spill which has occurred in any area around the world. The container can be manufactured to client specifications within one week of order being placed and the equipment used in the container depends on what is needed on site for the initial clean up. The client is able to select what items are required to contain and clean up contaminated areas based on their specific site layout and industry. CONTAINER TYPES AND ADJUSTMENTS AVAILABLE: • Containers can be changed to client requirements • Containers can be changed into a decontamination unit • Chemical store or Paint store and Work Shop • Adjusted in order to fit a FRC (Fast Recovery Craft) • Container can be changed into a wash bay or drip tray
decontamination unit.
* Xtreme ProjectsTM complies with all Customs process and procedures.

EQUIPMENT & VESSELS
SEWER JET MACHINE
The Sewer Jet Machine may be parked adjacent to the manhole or more conveniently, a reasonable distance away. An upper manhole hose guide both directs and protects the hose as it enters the manhole. A second lower hose guide at the junction of manhole and sewer, performs the same function. The hose, with its chosen nozzle or chain flail, is lowered directly into the sewer, thereafter moving itself upstream by means of the high velocity water retrojetting off the pipe wall. At the same time its central water jet (if fitted), sprays forward, breaking up deposits in front of the hose. When the hose is withdrawn, the rear water jets scour the sewer walls washing the debris down the line. Heavier material is drawn back to the manhole. This process is repeated until the pipe is cleaned to its original condition. All in all - a highly efficient, time and labour-saving operation.
EQUIPMENT & VESSELS
Xtreme ProjectsTM has a broad range of equipment such as mobile pumps ranging from 1 inch to 3 inch, mobile compressors, mobile generators, a fire tender, submersible pumps, pipes and other industrial equipment - all suitable for any job. DRY ICE BLASTING
Dry Ice Blasting is a process in which dry ice particles are propelled at supersonic speed to impact and clean a surface. The particles are accelerated by compressed air, just as with other blasting systems. The process uses dry ice pellets to lift the undesirable item of the underlying item/machinery. Dry ice blasting is an efficient and cost-effective way for industries to maximize production capability and quality Dry ice blasting: • is a non-abrasive, non-flammable and nonconductive cleaning method • is environmentally responsible and contains no secondary contaminants such as solvents or grit media • is clean and approved for use in the food industry • allows most items to be cleaned in place without time consuming disassembly • can be used without damaging active electrical or mechanical parts or creating fire hazards • can be used to remove production residue, release agents, contaminants, paints, oils and biofilms • can be as gentle as dusting smoke damage from books or as aggressive as removing weld slag from tooling • can be used for many general cleaning applications ADDITIONAL PLACES DRY ICE BLASTING HAS BEEN USED: ELECTRICAL
