Our physicians and staff will ensure a seamless transition for patients with cancer who will shift their treatment from Westerly to Waterford. Enhanced navigation support is also available. Consultations and follow-up visits will continue to be scheduled in the clinic at Westerly.
We are proud to announce that Smilow Cancer Hospital at Westerly has been selected as a Center of Excellence for Classical Hematology Patients with non-cancerous hematologic conditions will continue to be cared for in Westerly and services will expand over the coming year.
Smilow Cancer Hospital at Waterford was built with our patients’ and families’ comfort in mind. As the building was designed, suggestions from cancer survivors, physicians, nurses, and other care experts were implemented, such as the onsite lab and pharmacy, which provide convenience and improve ease of treatment. By design, the spacious interiors are filled with light, soothing colors, and views of the woodland setting and a healing garden to provide a tranquil atmosphere to support healing
