01 ONTOLOGY OF HOME Speculation on the familiar. . . Nowadays, most of living architecture in Russia is standartisized, but how representatives of different professions and subcultures , different types of character, different rythm of life , interests etc. can live in the same standart spaces? When we see modern high storied houses in Moscow , especially in new districts, we lose the coherance between ÂŤhomeÂť and family, it became inpersonal (not only in architectural image of those houses, but in image of inner spaces). Residential buildings adopt the anonymity as a property of nonresidential buildings. My project is an answer to the decision of the government to destroy one of the most vernacular districts of Ufa(Russia), relocate people and build microdistrict on this place. My project is aimed at strengthening of uniqueness of Nizhegorodka and will offer a solution of the development of this area for 25 years.I will save natural basis of my area with its narrow and crooked roads ,authentic way of life, way of building houses and will solve problems such as: flooding, transport problems, no visible center, no infrastructure, no access to river and lake, no public spaces. I will consider selected area as a starting point of the development of the whole district.

01 DEVELOPMENT PLAN OF THE DISTRICT

stage 1 remove garages and storages

stage 6 tramway

As the existing water reservoirs protect bashkir cities, towns and villages only from 30 % of spring floods , the first step should be orginising of a system of small water reservoirs upstream of the river. The next step will be construction system of water canals, which will regulate and direct water flows. Canal could well solve the sanitary problems of the district, it will reduce the level of groundwater, which affected the city quarters. I will connect both sides of dolgoye lake to the river. Today the territory of Dolgoye lake which is situated in the center of nizhegorodka is polluted , the lake drowns the surrounding area during the flood, and the solution of the ecological and engineering problem that has developed in the coastal areas becomes paramount .

How it works?

There is a spacious workshop with the necessary equipment on the ground floor, halls for receiving and issuing orders, exhibition halls, space for retail and warehouses. One of the most important rooms is the meeting room, where decisions about the life of the cooperative are made. Residential floors are lower than the first public one. Each of them has apartments with different layouts and almost all of them have a view on the canal.

TYPOLOGICAL DIVERSITY OF THE STREETS

01

TYPOLOGICAL DIVERSITY OF THE STREETS

The city gives the priority to pedestrians and rich public space. The size of the district makes it possible to cross it on foot. . As there are no fences, there are a lot of multipath routes. Intensive pedestrian traffic helps boost trade on the ground floor, which in turn creates workplaces for the residents themselves, motivates small business and increases safety.

02 TRANSFORMATOR OR MARSEILLES SOUP. The Greenhouse.

What to do with a building in the heart of Moscow that was built for a certain technical need and has lost its meaning, and its structure doesn’t give a way to transformation for conventional functions. The building was divided by 13 students into 13 projects:The greenhouse, the church, the milk farm, the cazino, the cinema, the square etc. . . Each of us came up with our own object with its own rules, history and life structure, but of course we had to react to our neighbors, think of how to interact with them, how to solve it architecturally, how to make a route through the transformer for a certain visitor. We were looking not only for new functions, but also for meanings, learning "to evoke feelings in people with the help of building materials," because, as the studio's program said, "architecture is the art of real things and immaterial experiences. . 16

The Greenhouse The Greenhouse is an old forgotten chest on the mezzanine, where Russian nature lives in. Here wheat grows and goats graze, birches rustles, herbs and vegetables grow on the beds and a bathhouse is standing in the meadow. Wheat field is an intervention in the urban space, a symbolic contrast between nature and the gray Moscow landscape. The greenhouse is a small paradise in the city, a memory. It is a place where you can take a break from the bustle. The space of the greenhouse is formed by stairs, retaining walls, terraces and a glass roof. Thus, the composition of the greenhouse is created on the contrast between the external regular structure and the internal irregularity.

Group physical model of the transformator The greenhouse is a part of common project.

03 TRAVELLING ART EXIBITION Nomads.

ÂŤThe theme of the studio was ÂŤNomadsÂť and nomadic architecture in general. It could be understood differently: either the architecture roams, or people, or they roam together. The task of the work was divided into three stages - it was necessary to study the history of the issue, then how the phenomenon exists and develops today, and then to understand whether there are nomads now and what they need. I was able to formulate these problems in the form of questions: are there any nomads in modern cities? How do they look, how do they differ from others, who do they think they are? What place do they occupy in society? What culture and values do they have? My project is dedicated to The Itinernts, the group of russian artists , who formed the Assosiation of Travelling art exibits to give people from the provinces a chance to follow the achievements of russian art and to teach people to appreciate art. The society maintained independence from state support and brought the art, which illustrated the contemporary life of the people from Moscow and Saint Petersburg to the provinces.

ROUTE OF EXIBITION

The object is floating by the river Volga along the route and stopping with the exibition as in the big cities such as Novgorod, Kazan and Tver, as in a small towns and settlements. The landscape outside the window is constantly changes, so artists are drawing on plein air and sketching between stops and adding new peintings to their collection.

04 COURTYARD OF RENESSAINCE LIVING COMPLEX.

The idea of this project was to create a space, that could be used by all inhabitants of the living complex: children of different ages and their parents, people who love doing sports, romantic couples, retirees , people who love to come together and lov introverts who love spending time alone etc. The courtyard is the space of path. Spatial sensations change as you move from one space to another and are designed so that narrow paths are replaced by wide squares, loud playgrounds by intimate, quiet places etc. The project task was to exclude proj the conict of interests of these users groups. I Distributed functions between parts of the courtyard so that each has one or two dominant for targeted audiences. Some of the courtyard spaces have already been implemented, some are still in the planning stage. The scope of the project reects the master plan well.

SAN GALLI PARK. DESIGN OF THE COURTYARD

San Galli park territory is situated in the historical center of Saint Petersburg. Previously, the garden was a part of the vast complex of the Cast Iron and Steel Works, which was founded here in 1853. In this project I developed masterplan of San Galli residential complex, which also includes public space of the business center and square in front of the hotel. In order to create a sense of privacy and fence off the yard of the residential area from noisy areas and public areas, most of the area around the perimeter of the complex is allocated to green areas. The areas between the residential buildings and the plots connecting them have become the ‘private’ yard of the residents of the complex.

06 SAN GALLI PARK. DESIGN OF THE PUBLIC SPACE The idea was to separate the residential area from the business center by retaining walls and gabions and to create a pedestrian street for employees and guests of the company.

I used the same material with the building of business center for pergolas, stella and retaining walls to create a sense of identity of the place.

CONCEPT OF THE RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX IN SAINT PETERSBURG. July 2019

I developed the architectural concept of several buildings on the territory of «Burevestnik», one of the oldest Saint Peterburg factory. The project assumes a functional change of the production and administrative buildings of the former factory, which will mainly be occupied by residential apartments. Dark-claret Flemish brick is used in the facade facework. The unique recognizable image of the house is created due to the active wave-like plasticity of the facade: the amplitude of the «wave» increases from the side of the yard, which mostly stays in the shade throughout the day.
