MUSIC VIDEO STYLE: INTERPRATIVE The props that I am going to use will include a pen, paper, phone and broom. Costume will include a simple graphic t-shirt, jeans, hoodie, and sneakers. By keeping the artist’s costume simple it represents him as a more down to earth and casual person. The set is going to be a black backdrop, or a plain white room, while the artist is in close range of the camera. The lighting will be mostly artificial, with a range of different colours using flood/spot lights and gels. This creates a more abstract edge to the music video. The song fits into the electro genre and it fits with those kinds of music videos. The camera shots are going to be a range of mid shots and close ups for the artist’s performance. The editing is going to be very abrupt, some of the shots being cut to other shots where the object is further away from the camera while the same lyrics are being sung.
ARTIST REPRESENTATION + PERSONA Someone who is down to earth and has substance. Thinks about they do, and how they do it (through their music) Educated and keeps up with current affairs (not ignorant). Likes to interact with fans through twitter or other sites “hipster” Sort of like Rizzle Kicks By limiting other things so that his representation is made mostly from people listening to his music (clothing, location).
