LETTER FROM THE EDITOR Hey guys! How have you all been? How is summer break working out so far? I hope you spent your time wisely because we’ll be returning to school in about 40 days. However, don’t fret about going back to school, but enjoy the 40 days of relaxation and socializing with friends and family. No matter how you spend your 40Days of no-school, don’t be regretting it because
There are still service events to attend in July even though it is limited so try to come out and help your fellow Key Clubbers from Region 7 at the Beach Clean-up or join the Aktion Club at their Car Wash fundrasier. I hope to see you at events! Sincerely, YeChan Lee

Relay For Life
*PC to Jackson Nguyen
On July 21st, North Hollywood Key Club attended the Relay for Life at Walter Reed Middle School. The event started early in the morning and ended the very next morning. Not all members were able to sleep over but, many had fundraised over $100 to earn their privileges. The Pizza Rev fundraiser held during June went towards this event and helped Key Clubbers to raise money for their booth. The NHHS booth sold various items such as fruit cups, baked goods, lemonades, and hand-made key chains. The key chains resembled the purple ribbons to promote cancer research and reflect the Relay for Life’s logo.
International Convention On July 2nd to July 6th, there will be the International Convention in Anaheim. The International Convention is also known as the ICON. The ICON is the convention where all Key Clubbers meet and discuss their ideas, attend workshops, and go over new materials. The ICON includes not only the CNH District but also Key Clubbers around the nation and world, hence the International Convention. During the Convention, Key Clubbers are allowed to socialize and interact with other Clubbers from different parts of the world. They can share their perspectives on certain issues and maybe create a new perspective. After the ICON, Key Clubbers will be given a chance to attend Disney Land for all their hard work.

June DCM
On June 21st, on the same day as Relay for Life, the June DCM was held in a local park in Burbank. The DCM included fun ice breakers along with discussions about the newly chartered school and the future events such as the Aktion Club Car Wash and the Region 7 Beach Clean-up. For those who are taking the bus to the Beach Clean-up, the expected bus fee will be $15 and the bus will pick Key Clubbers up in front of Burbank High School. At the end of DCM, there was a water balloon fundraiser to raise money for Key Club projects. Those who brought bags and bags of quarters, water balloons were granted and the person who purchased the most balloons got a neat prize.
