WEEK 9 READING: TITLE OF READING

Question 1: What are Durer’s rules for perspectival projection? (Maximum 100 words) Perspective first was a Latin word for “seeing through”, which means it can be seen as the entire picture transformed into a window and looking through this window to a space. It produces a picture plane. The perspective projection has vanishing points ( perpendicular drawn from eye to plane) and all parallels have the same vanishing point. Equal dimensions diminish progressively as they recede in space.

Question 2: Describe homogenous space? (Maximum 100 words)

A fully rational and purely mathematical space. All its elements, the “points” which are joint in it, are mere determinations of position, possessing no independent content of their own outside of theis relation, this position which they occupy in relation of each other.

QUAD PERSPECTIVE 1 + 2 Annotation.

This view of perspective gives the shows that Marco Polo was looking from the inside of the Old Quad. It shows one of the corner of the Old Quad so it produces a seperate space which suits to the images in a different time line.

Annotation.

This view can be devided into two parts where the middle part can show the past space(nymphs) and the right part can show the current condition( break pipes).

PERSPECTIVE SCENE 1 + 2

WEEK 4 READING: TITLE OF READING Complete your reading before attempting these questions:

Question 1: IWhat is the difference between autographic and allographic practice? (Maximum 100 words) Autographic art depend for their authenticity ypon thedirect contact of the author. Allographic art however, exist in many copies and can be produced without the direct intervention of the author. I t is capable of being reproduced at a distance from the author by means of notation.

Question 2: Why do architects need new representational techniques? (Maximum 100 words) Architecture is neither clearly autographic or allographic. Architectural drawing combines unique feature of art as well as the physical measurements. It is different method of representation that makes architectural plannings possible to present and comes to reality. Different types of representation techiniques shows different aspect of architecture, so it is necessary to use new and effective representatiion techniques for the architects to give direct views of architectures.

FINAL DRAWINGS Thin CiTiES 3: ArmillA

Marco Polo was walkign through the abandoned pipe city. There are two spaces that showed him things happened in the past, which was the young women taking shower in bath tub. He did not want to disturb them so he walk away from them and end his journey. When he travelling through the broken pipes, his feeling was heavy as he was wonderring why the city was formed by the pipes. However in the middle of journey he felt relaxed and curious as he saw the nymphs. At the end of the journey he realised that the nymphs only lived in the past so the question came to his mind again which is the reason why his feeling mode became heavy.
