What is CIED Remote Monitoring?
A Cardiac Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) is an implantable device to treat or monitor heart rhythm abnormalities.
This remote monitoring service allows the doctor to monitor the patient’s CIED outside of the clinic setting. It is supplementary to clinic visits.
A transmitter is required to transmit CIED data from your device. The data may only be accessed by the hospital’s authorised medical personnel, who will read the transmitted data during office hours.
