How many fitness professionals does it take to change a light bulb? Behavior Change – and the role of the fitness professional with Joan Carlson People look to fitness professionals all of the time for support as they go through their intended process of change. We will explore what this looks like in ourselves and in our environment so we can help support the process for change in the people with whom we teach and train. Communication, Feedback and Cueing: Is there an emoji for that? With Joan Carlson Remember those days when we didn’t have microphones in fitness classes? Leading a class involved more than verbal cues and we need inject some of the non-verbal cues back into our teaching, coaching and training. Non-verbal cues are crucial if the microphone doesn’t work, you have someone in your class with hearing challenges, or you have participants who speak a different language.
