WHAT IS DAY CAMP?
During school breaks, and vacations the Y offers a fun, educational Day Camp program for kids! Each day is full of adventure, from crafts and STEM activities to swimming and outdoor adventures, there’s always fun to be had at the Y’s Day Camp!
WHAT IS CAMP EDWARDS?
Located only 45 minutes from Redlands Family YMCA and a mere two hours from Los Angeles, Camp Edwards offers a traditional overnight camp environment for all in the San Bernardino Mountains.
Camp Edwards staff, volunteers and camp committee strive to maintain the highest standards in providing a quality camping experience for all ages. We are accredited by the American Camp Association and all camp counselors are CPR certified and receive training in first aid and lifesaving.

Take camper adventures to the next level this summer! Build self-confidence, meet new friends, and have a blast. Get a thrill from field-trips around the Inland Empire, activities at our camp facility, such as sports clinics, science experiments, or arts and crafts, while exploring exciting weekly themes (vary by location).

Rockets, planets, aliens, and more await your child during this week with us in outer space! We will be shooting for the stars as we travel through this week full of fun.

Belugas, monkeys, tigers, and hedgehogs, oh my! Our beautiful planet is filled with unique and fantastic creatures. Come with us on an animal adventure as we explore our incredible planet’s vast array of critters, including marine life, safari animals, woodland creatures, farm animals, and even petite insects!
Under the Microscope

Put on your lab coats as we test different scientific theories and myths. Dive into a world of interactive science where day camp is your own laboratory! We will have various science activities, like chemistry experiments, mythbusting, and science facts vs. fiction.
The Y Olympics

The Summer Olympic Games have come to a camp near you! Countries from all over the world will compete for the bronze, silver, and gold medals in all aspects of brawn and brain! Get your team uniform out and tie those laces so YOUR country can take home the GOLD!

We wish upon a star, travel under the sea, or even ride on the magic carpet during this wonderful week. Our campers will explore the magical world of Disney through exciting stories, activities, and more!

AQUATICS
AQUATICS
With an Association Membership, you get access to the 3 Aquatic Centers across the East Valley! With 4 indoor pools, an outdoor pool, children’s splash zone, spa, and sauna, the Y’s Aquatic Centers offer a variety of options for our members! Adaptive Parent & Child Swim
Ages 5 – 18
This Adaptive Aquatics swim class is a parent-child class for children ages 5 - 18 years with special needs. The goal of this class is to get your child comfortable in the water, teach them how to be safe around water, and become independent swimmers.
Lap Swim
Ages 15+
Lap Swimming is available with lanes divided by speed. Swimmers are welcome to swim laps during open lap swim times. Swimmers must choose the appropriate lane for their speed and stroke choice.
Masters Swim
Ages 18+
Training goals are set by the individual swimmer and a Certified Swim Coach will help create personalized training plans, instruct, and evaluate each participant. Achieve personal goals such as cardiovascular conditioning, weight loss, toning, improving technique and training for triathlons.
Parent-Child Program
Ages 6 months – 5 years
The skills taught in the Parent/Child program center around five main components: personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water games, and rescue. A child must be accompanied by an adult in all parent-child classes.
Please Note: All children 2 years and under and/or not potty trained must wear a non-disposable swim diaper while swimming in YMCA pools. Non-disposable swim diapers may be purchased at the front desk
Power Plunge
Ages 15+
A mid-to-high intensity water exercise class focusing on cardiovascular conditioning and muscle toning. This class will help you to tone and condition your body without added stress on your joints.
Preschool Program
Ages 3 – 5
The Preschool Program encourages water acclimation to increase comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance. Water movement encourages forward movement in water and basic self-rescue skills performed independently. Stroke introduction of basic stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke.
Youth Program
Ages 6 – 12
The Youth Program focuses on developing water stamina and stroke mechanics. Develop intermediate self-rescue skills performed at longer distances. Stroke development introduces breaststroke and butterfly and reinforces water safety through treading water and sidestroke. Refine stroke technique on all major competitive strokes and encourages swimming as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Water Walking
Ages 15+
Instructors lead the Water Walking class through a light-intensity cardio workout that consists of walking around in the water. Movements are forward, backward, and side-to-side. This class will help you to tone and condition your body without added stress on your joints.

Bands & Balance
Ages 15+
Utilizing resistance bands to focus on lower body strength, while incorporating a blend of Pilates, yoga and tai-chi practices, to build and strengthen balance and mobility. This class is for all fitness levels.
BodyPump

This barbell class will sculpt, tone, and strengthen your entire body, fast! Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you’ll burn fat, gain strength, and quickly produce lean muscle. Try it once and you will be hooked.

Personal Training

Get one-on-one attention from a certified personal trainer who will design a specific regimen just for you that will complement any workout style while giving you that extra push you may need to see results. Packages include single, 5, 10 or 15 sessions.
Pilates Mat
Ages 15+
Pilates Mat will help you to develop your core strength while focusing on coordination, flexibility, and stability-based movements. This workout is low impact and is ideal for members of all ages and abilities. Participants will develop their posture and body alignment, enhance balance, and help relieve stress.
Pilates Reformer
Ages 15+
Pilates Reformer utilizes the Allegro Reformer machines to create an exercise experience that will shape and tone your body while creating lean muscle mass. Work with an instructor to learn and perfect flexible movements that can be adjusted based on your performance level. This is a low-impact workout that will strengthen your core with grace and concentration.

At the YMCA, kids have the chance to let their creative talents shine! They can explore aerial movements, learn how to dance, juggle, and even unicycle. Coaches and peers provide encouragement as children build strength, confidence, and coordination through tumbling, balancing, and other floor exercises. From jumps and cartwheels to handstands and beyond, the program equips children with the skill set needed to take their creativity to the next level!

An entry-level class aimed at older children, Cheer II is designed to teach them important skills such as strength, flexibility, and coordination. Kids will also get the chance to learn simple chants, cheers, and dance routines. This is a great way for them to stay active and have some fun!
Gymnastics
Ages 5+
This class teaches skills that lead to and are taught in Level 1 of Gymnastics. Participants will work on their strength and flexibility, while also learning basic tumbling and balance skills.
Baby Hip Hop
Ages 6+
Dance participants will learn beginning Hip Hop steps and moves. Class is structured like a studio program, and for that reason, parents are to observe outside of the classroom.

This course offers a great introduction to the essential movements of hip-hop. By taking this class, your child will learn fun and challenging choreography set to today’s popular hip-hop tunes. For an effective learning experience, our studio program is structured so that parents must remain outside the classroom during class.
Dance Acro
Ages 6+
This program explores the advanced movements of tumbling, contortion, and dance. This class is designed for those with some experience, and thus it follows a more intensive structure like that of a studio program. For that reason, parents are requested to watch from outside the classroom.
Kinder Gymnastics

Kinder Gymnastics teaches basic tumbling and balance skills to preschoolers. This class introduces skills like focusing, listening, and patience while in a fun learning environment.

Join our Summer Circus program for kids ages 5 and up! Learn circus skills like unicycling, diabolo, aerial arts and more. Keep up your strength and skills or explore new ones. Develop coordination, balance, and creativity in a fun and thrilling circus community.

Perfect for a new balancer! You will learn how to balance and walk on a tight rope.

Perfect for a new balancer! You will learn how to support your weight solely on your hands and on various objects.

This beginner-level juggling course is designed for individuals who have little to no experience with juggling and are eager to learn this captivating skill. Enhance balance, skills, and coordination on the one-wheeled wonder, whether you’re a beginner or seeking to master tricks.

Learn to balance and walk on stilts - you will learn strength and coordination skills that will prepare you for the upcoming season!

This class will teach all levels of duo Risley; where the base lies on their back and the flyer performs on the base’s feet. All levels are welcome!
Diabolo (All Levels)
Ages 9+
Diabolo, also known as the, “Chinese yo-yo”, will teach you skills to prepare you for the next season of Diabolo. All levels are welcome!

We offer a variety of leagues, clinics, and programs for those looking to learn fundamentals to those focusing on developing skills.

Youth Basketball Clinics
Ages 5-17
This clinic teaches the fundamentals of shooting the ball, using different drills. Participants will learn lay-ups, free-throws, mid-range and three pointers!
Drum Corp
Ages 8 – 17
Simple yet effective drum lessons for beginners that bypass entry-level pad training. Our Drum Corps is for kids which can be a great way to help them develop rhythmic and psychomotor skills. We hope to provide a fun-filled yet educational journey for your kids to pick up a new hobby and understand music as a whole. Our Drum Corp sessions are based on building a foundation of music reading, performance, technique, and aural skills as it applies to the drums. Each lesson starts with a warm up including various exercises taught and provided to the students.
Flag Football ges
Ages 8-12
Your child will gain valuable life lessons such as socializing, forming team dynamics, and learning the core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. They will have the chance to practice their football skills in a supportive and secure setting. Flag football also offers the chance for children to sharpen their decision-making, footwork, and creative thinking skills.
Youth Basketball League
Ages 5 – 17 • 6/3 - 7/27
YMCA Youth Basketball is a fun and great way to introduce children to the sport of basketball and improve all player’s skills as well as athletic abilities. Our leagues emphasize sportsmanship through teambuilding and skill development. Parents will be notified of the day and time your athlete is scheduled to practice.

Itty Bitty Sports
Ages 3 – 5
Itty Bitty Sports programs help youth to develop the basic skills and fundamentals of the chosen sport: Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, T-Ball, or all listed (Combo Itty Bitty Sports). Participants will learn the basic building blocks for success in a fun environment. Offered sports may vary by location.
Martial Arts (Beginner/Youth)
Ages 5 – 8
Martial Arts at the YMCA teaches your mind, body, and spirit to act as one; while introducing techniques that focus on balance and coordination through fun activities that promote positive attitudes, develop strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, discipline and self-confidence. Redlands class is held outdoors in the meadow.
Martial Arts (Youth & Adult)
Ages 9+
Learn self-defense in YMCA Martial Arts. This class is a fun and safe way for children and adults to develop control and discipline while learning combat skills. YMCA Martial Arts are non-competitive and encourage sportsmanship and personal growth. Redlands class is held outdoors in the meadow. Our family class allows parents and children to grow within the Arts together while creating lasting memories.
Youth Volleyball & Clinics
Ages 9 – 17
Participants will develop volleyball skills while learning to play on a team. Improve your handeye coordination, work on speed, and practice techniques to help you excel in the sport!
Youth Soccer & Clinics
Ages 3 – 12
YMCA Youth Soccer helps youth to develop the basic skills and fundamentals of the sport, while offering opportunity for individual learning. We encourage youth to grow as healthy, responsible contributors both on and off the field.
Youth Run Club
Ages 9-14
Participants will meet and perform conditioning skills such as knee highs, heel kicks, ladders, etc. Runners will meet on the track in the fitness center at the beginning of each class. Please send a water bottle with your child to stay hydrated!
Youth Speed & Agility
Ages 10+
Participants will meet and perform speed and agility skills such as ladders, cone drills, box jumps, etc. Participants will meet in the Group X room located in the back of the wellness center. Please send a water bottle with your child to stay hydrated during this time. We do ask that parents either sit in the Fireplace Room during class-time OR wear your workout attire and workout in the gym.

Kids Club
Ages 18 months – 12 years
Kids Club is a FREE Child Care Service for Association Members. Our Y staff is available to watch your children while you exercise! Take a Group Exercise class, enjoy the Fitness Center, or swim a lap in the pool while your child enjoys fun and games at Kids Club.
Children ages 18 months – 12 years old are welcome for up to 2 hours each day! Children must be Y facility members to participate.
Preschool University
Ages 18 months – 5 years
At our Preschool we focus on nurturing a child’s development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills, develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. SENIOR HEALTH & FITNESS
AOA PROGRAM
As a part of the Active Older Adults program, the YMCA offers a variety of exercise classes for men and women ages 50+. Seniors are encouraged to stay active with the YMCA through fitness classes that fit their individual health goals. Our AOA Fitness classes are available to help members that are looking for a specialized workout to improve overall well-being at a friendly pace. Members love YMCA Group Exercise classes for their adaptability, encouragement, and support for all skill levels – including members with physical limitations.
SilverSneakers ® Classic
SilverSneakers® Classic utilizes hand weights, elastic tubing, and exercise balls to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living. A chair is used for seated and/or standing support.
SilverSneakers ® Yoga
The YMCA of the East Valley offers classes for all fitness levels. If you are looking for a gentle workout that will keep you active, we recommend trying one of our SilverSneakers® classes, Zumba Gold, or Pilates Reformer.
Zumba Gold
Zumba Gold is a mixture of salsa cardio and hip-hop dance that will get you moving to the music! Zumba Gold has tailored the moves and traditional fast-paced Zumba to meet the needs of members looking to enjoy the workout at a beginner level. The modified moves and pace are easy and fun to learn. Meet new friends and enjoy your workout with Zumba Gold!
Move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform exercises. Relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
