YMCA of Greater New Orleans New Staff Training Instructions All new staff are required to complete three on-line trainings offered by our insurance company, the Redwoods Group. These trainings must be completed prior to starting work at the YMCA. Once you complete the trainings, you will be able to print a certificate of completion. Please give the certificates to your supervisor to include in your personnel file.
Step 1 - Access the Redwoods Institute at the internet address shown below: http://firstnetcampus.com/Redwoods/entities/YMCA/logon.htm You will first need to register as a new user (click on “I Am A New User”) and then log in to the online training, using the user name and password you generated during the registration process. When you first log in, you will need to use our access code, which is 002471.
Step 2 - Once you log in, you will need to select Youth Programs.
Step 3 - Enroll in three courses: 1. Bloodborne Pathogens 2. Child Sexual Abuse Prevention 3. Hazard Communication – The New GHS Standards Once you have enrolled in the courses, you will need to click on “My Courses” at the top of the page in order to complete each course. Once the course is complete, click on “Student Center” At the top of the page and follow the instructions to print out a certificate of completion for each course. Give your supervisor a copy of the certificates to include with your new hire packet information.
