A BIG HELLO to all parents & children! Before you know it, 2017 draws to an end. There is no better time than the New Year to take a moment to reflect, appreciate and enjoy the intangible gifts we received from our parents and children-valued relationships and continued support.

The past few months were exhilarating for the children. Many glories won with their hard work, determination and perseverance. We are excited to be sharing them with you.

Thank you for joining the YMCA big family and the opportunity to work as one for the children that we love so dearly.

Every semester, the centre identifies unique individuals who demonstrate exemplary behaviour.

We look forward to 2018 with anticipation and send you our heartfelt wishes for peace, joy and prosperity throughout the year.

Y JUNIOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROGRAMME (YJEP) YMCA signature programme, aims at cultivating the spirit of social entrepreneurship and a sense of teamwork whilst inculcating the value of compassion and concern for the less-privileged. Every year, children from each centre made their own items to market and generate sale. This year, some centres are encouraged to explore provision of services. For our centre, we provide entertainment made from cardboard box, where people can throw balls to win prizes.

This year, for the first time, all 20 YMCA Student Care Centre come together for the Sengkang South Little Entrepreneurs 2018. Proudly organised by Central Singapore CDC, Citizens’ Consultative Committees, People’s Association and Senkang South.

The highlight of the competition, a special performance by our star stacker, Joshua Tan and Keira Lim Kelsi. The tag team represented Team Singapore at the World Sport Stacking Championships in Florida earlier this year.

Their performance defined in the blink of an eye and truly awed the audiences. Joshua Tan and Keira Lim Kelsi have become “mini celebrity” in their own school as well as in the SCC.
