YMCA (Jurong West One) Student Care Centre Newsletter January 2017 – June 2017
Welcome to JWSC-One There is a well- known African proverb: “It takes a village to raise a child.” Reflecting on this, we are reminded of the enormity of the task of raising our young and impressionable children. The belief in the need to work together resulted in our parents working together with the centre’s staff on the many programmes and activities. Through Values Education, we seek to teach our children the skills and attitudes that will contribute to their personal development and also develop steadfastness of their character to face the many challenges in their growing years.

YMCA (Jurong West One) Student Care Centre Newsletter January 2017 – June 2017 A Second That Makes All The Difference (June) There was not a dull moment at the Annual Cup-stacking Finals at YMCA auditorium in June 2017. The competition was so intense that the difference between the centre’s team and their opponents, was just a few seconds throughout the challenge. Our team stayed focused, and held their heads high. It was a humble achievement for us. A commendable team spirit was displayed by our team which consisted of 5 players from different schools.
This could not have been achieved without the strong support from our parents. It was heartening to have children coming together from different schools and backgrounds, cheering together as a team. They performed well.
