Peace Lantern Making Our students take part in making Peace Lanterns for the Hiroshima YMCA Peace Lantern Ceremony every year to express their hopes for peace. All Peace Lanterns made will be set afloat upon the river in Hiroshima Park to pray for peace in the world. This ceremony originated in Hiroshima several years after the atomic bombing and while thousands of candle-lit Peace Lanterns float along the ABomb Dome, people from around the world gather in solidarity to pray for peace.
Bread Sushi (Cooking Workshop) The students had a chance to make their very own bread sushi using basic and simple ingredients. They first flattened the bread with the use of a rolling pin then they placed ingredients they liked such as sausages, cucumbers and carrots onto the bread before rolling it up like a sushi. It was not only a fun experience but also a really tasty treat for them.

June Holiday Outing – AMPed Trampoline Park We visited the Trampoline Park in Jurong East for students to experience the fun and health benefits of trampolines. Jumping on a trampoline can help strengthen all the muscles from the stomach to the feet. By the end of the session, everyone was perspiring and well worn-out!
June Holiday Outing – Farm Tour @ FARMART Students had a tour at the FARMART Centre where Uncle William introduced the life cycle of quails, eggs and nutrition needed for quail farming in Singapore. Students got to see live quails as well as other types of game birds during the session. They also had a chance to feed the little animals at the farm.
