During the March school holidays, the students attended the ‘Pirates! Raiders of the Seas’ workshop. They learnt about the hierarchy and duties among pirates and they were each given a role as a pirate. Opportunities were given to them to decipher maps and to create their own treasure maps. The workshop ended with a treasure hunt and they were tasked to search for treasures around the school.

This year, we are proud to be invited by Punggol Park CC to be part of Sengkang South Little Entrepreneurs carnival. Through this year’s event, besides learning about teamwork and being compassionate towards others, our student volunteers experienced the importance of marketing and promoting their products to the public. It was a fulfilling and meaningful experience for them.

YMCA SCC @ SPRINGDALE (JAN TO JUN 2016) NEWSLETTER ONE OF THE WORLD’S BUSIEST PORTS IN ACTION

DON’T BE SHY TO SHOW YOUR LOVE It was our pleasure to be given the opportunity to attend a musical performance by ACT 3 International. The musical aims to broaden and inspire minds to deepen awareness for the arts. The cast, originally from Sweden/UK, gave a splendid musical performance about love. It was an interactive show where the students could sing and clap along with the rhythm of the music.

The students playing the interactive game on import and export of goods At Singapore Maritime Gallery, the students learnt how Singapore transformed into one of the world’s leading Maritime Centres. Stamp designing in process

The students imagined themselves as knights and designed their own unique shields which represent their best values through the expression of colours.

A trip to the Singapore Philatelic Museum enabled the students to learn about the history of stamps in Singapore. They also learnt about the different cultures and traditions of the various races living in Singapore.

While at the King Arthur’s workshop, they created their own catapult which knights used in the past as a form of defence and attack.

The students were tasked to design a stamp which best represents Singapore.
