As our academic year draws to a close we have much to celebrate and remember the many happy memories. It is amazing how much has been achieved by the children, staff and parents in one year. The achievements extend from the students’ learning, enrichment programmes, creative arts and the Junior Entrepreneurship fundraising efforts by the children, mentors and parents of YMCA SMSCC. We take this opportunity to thank the parents for their generous support as we managed to raise a total of $3,175 for the school fund. Most importantly YMCA SMSCC students enjoyed another fabulous year. They excelled in many fields. These achievements were in their academic studies, character education, music, and the arts to name just a few and we are very proud of them. We also want to express our gratitude to all St Margaret’s Primary School teaching staff, school canteen vendors, cleaners and staff of Chapel of Christ the King for their continuous support throughout this year. We wish all children and families a safe and an enjoyable December school holidays. Best wishes, Mdm Fu Min (Assistant Supervisor) & Este Ng (Senior Mentor)

Parents’ Testimonials “We are writing to thank YMCA SMSCC and the mentors
“YMCA has helped our daughter to ensure that she completes her
for their excellent enrichment programmes. My daughter, Nadia, who is now in Primary 4 at SMPS attends the YMCA afterschool care at SMSCC. She has been attending and enjoying these programmes tremendously since Primary 1. We see that she has benefitted greatly from these programmes which have developed her character and personality. We hope YMCA will continue to organise these programmes.” Parents of Nadia Ng (P4)
school homework and the mentors provide assistance in her learning process. Outdoor activities and field trips that are organised by YMCA have also given our daughter the exposure she needs to activitiess outside the classroom and school. All these structured programmes have helped us to not worry about her school homework and her growth in socialising with her friends and making new ones too.” Parents of Chloe Yeam (P3)
“I am writing to compliment the wonderful attitude, helpful approach and attentive service rendered by YMCA SMSCC. I’m very impressed and pleased with the quality of service provided by the staff and employees. Mentors do not hesitate to go the extra mile with dedication and care. I believe this is very important in providing firstclass service which I have experienced from YMCA.” Parents of Danya Fu (P1)
“My daughter will always share with us how much she enjoys the enrichment programmes i.e. cup stacking, storytelling and character building in YMCA. We appreciate the mentors who help in supervision of her homework, practicing her Spelling & “Ting Xie” diligently. She enjoys YMCA so much that she would prefer to go YMCA SMSCC than going out with my parents during the school holidays.” Parents of Faith Lin (P2)
