Outlines and Lessons Ongoing!
Our Art Enrichment Program: Fun with Crayons! Fun with Crayons is our very own art enrichment program that is conducted weekly by our very own in house instructor. The program serves to teach our boys art techniques using shapes, lines and colour contrast using crayons. The completed art master pieces are then showcased in the classroom to give students a sense of ownership of their art pieces and to encourage them to continue to create their own art masterpieces

The boys putting their new found skills to practice The boys had special coaching on individual and team sport cup stacking with 12 specially designed cups in pre-determined sequences at lightning speed. Stackers challenge their own abilities by racing against the clock entering competitions held in conjunction with World Sport Stacking Association Singapore.

Our boys enjoyed making different motif designs from hama beads to sell during our Junior Entrepreneurship Fair in the school canteen to raise funds for their fellow school mates who are in need of financial assistance. A total of $1,319 was collected after two days of peddling their artistic creations. All for a good cause!

A typical ‘CCE’ lesson...then putting what they’ve learnt into practice (getting ‘caught’ doing good)!
Our very own character and citizenship classes serve to complement St Stephen’s Primary School’s programme to inculcate the school’s values of Joy, Inquisitiveness, Perseverance, Kindness, Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility in all our boys. Every week, the boys get to participate in a variety of engaging indoor and outdoor activities that serve to develop in them the school’s main values as they are taught how to empathize with others and reflect on their actions and consequences.

Volcano DIY and Colourful Slime DIY Workshop

During the December school holidays, our boys looked forward to attend their exciting and engaging science workshops. The activities provide them opportunities to explore and learn core science concepts with practical hands-on Do It Yourself active approach. Our boys had tons of fun mixing different basic household items to create colourful oozing slime and their very own erupting volcano! Most importantly they learn about chemical reactions while having a truly blast of a time!

YMCA SCC @ St. Stephen’s Newsletter Having Fun during Our Daily Routines
July 2016 - Dec 2016
Here at St Stephens Student Care, we ensure our boys are given opportunities for positive social interaction while learning together, experiencing healthy pursuits and eventually independence. Each day, we have at least 1 hour of structured study time for the boys to complete their school homework, guided by their teachers. They also get to learn their spelling for both English and Mother Tongue languages.

We are also extremely fortunate to have volunteers from Victoria Junior College who help the boys with their homework and other activities.
Children’s Day Celebration During the Children’s Day celebration, our boys had the time of their life, enjoying good food, donning crazy party hats and actively participating in a host of fun tele -match games. Our boys definitely cannot wait for the New Year to begin as we have lined up our sports stacker training and our 3D animator program for them to enjoy. 2017 will definitely be a year to remember! The boys enjoying lunch and games during our 2016 Children’s Day celebration!
