We would like to take a moment to thank all of those who have contributed to, supported, and loved each issue of Yogurt throughout this past year. Here's to another year of Your Daily Culture!!
I cannot believe a year has passed since we started Yogurt!! I'm so glad that it's stayed alive, and that I've made so many interesting connections with other people through Yogurt. I hope that all of our readers know how much they are appreciated! For me, every single issue (including this one) has been a stressful, educational, meditative, rushed, inspirational, and puzzling treasure. After a year, I'm so proud to have produced so many small . (2016) pages of art and culture. B rk a M y nb Photo take Please stick around for at least another year, and please think about contributing to any upcoming issues!! Everyone is welcome to send us art, write something, take photos, etc. The more variety in Yogurt, then the more beautiful, I think. And as for me, aside from working my full-time job, I have been focusing on reading more and painting more. Trying to make tea and new friends. I recently moved to a big city and am walking A going aw ay to coffee shops, watching movies, eating a pin that gisaftysfr, "pom my previous job: edin edhel len". out, and sleeping. It's been a fun past 365 days, and I want to continue to stay inspired! Anar kaluva tielyanna!

"Monster's Birthday" I wanted to show some sort of mysterious and celebratory metamorphosis - something really fantastic yet humble. So I chose a band of plucky adventurers who, after weeks of hauling around a large egg, finally witness its metamorphosis into something magical!

Metamorphosis A Short Story by Rachel Dix

s the little pillbug awoke one morning from a black and detached rest, he found himself transformed on the dirt into a disgusting, warm-blooded human. Bewildered by the light, the human pillbug tried to curl himself up into a defensive gesture, but did not succeed in reaching his toes to his head.
He rolled over onto his stomach and tried to scurry into the ground, but found that moving such large tracts of dirt was much more difficult as a giant. He also had fewer legs, and nails that bent back when they pressed into the ground. "Hey!" came a cry from nearby. "What are you doing?" The human pillbug turned to see a scowling older couple gazing at him from across the park that was his home. "I'm trying to bury myself!" he replied. "Why?" they demanded. "Because I'm not accustomed to being out in sunlight!" There was a shrill whistle from behind him. He turned around to see a policeman sitting on a horse, peering down at him with a similar sort of gaze as the older couple.
"You there!" the policeman shouted. "Why aren't you wearing any clothes?" "I don't have any!" answered the pillbug man.
"That's not an excuse for being naked," the policeman said. "He's digging in the ground, too, officer!" said the older couple. This seemed to deeply upset the policeman. He wiggled his stiff mustache and said, "And why are you defacing public property with your uncoordinated digging?" And the pillbug man said, "I'm not trying to deface anything. I live here. I'm just trying to get back underground."
With a blustery guffaw the policeman shouted, "You can't live here! Public property belongs to the state." "Then where do I go?" asked the human pillbug. "To the station, with me," the policeman said. "You're under arrest." "But I still don't understand what I did wrong!" the human pillbug protested. "It doesn't matter," the policeman said. And he got down from his horse and handcuffed the naked bug-man while the old couple cheered. A half-inch beneath their feet, the pillbug man's arthropodic mate awoke and tended to the twenty larvae that incubated in her platelets. Then she set about eating the debris of an old dandelion.

Blial Cabal is a collaborative art collection between husband and wife duo, Steven & Maranda. Together we provide affordable & uniquely macabre creations fueled by music, fine arts, literature, and all things esoteric & occult.
Music, hiking, camping, drawing, reading, researching, drinking, good food, exploring, creating, and so much more!
About 3 years ago I was drawing something that Maranda really liked. She asked me if I wouldn't mind it if she screen printed herself a shirt. It was about that time that we realized a potential success had we started working together as a team.
We hope to grow into a larger space where we can combine our studios (both screen printing and illustration) within our art shop. We are hoping to add a music listening station and specialize in the distribution of cassettes in various sub-genres of metal. We want Blial Cabal to grow into a place large enough to have live art demonstrations and possibly even live music!
Salutations, colossal thanks for supporting local artists and small businesses. We couldn't do it without you!
