SNOW MONKEYS AT THE NAGANO MONKEY PARK
The tour cost includes bus transportation and admission to the Monkey Park. Please be prepared to walk for 45 minutes to one hour (approximately 1.6 miles) on a paved and unpaved icy path to reach the park. Snowshoes or sturdy boots are highly recommended, while strollers are not advisable. It is also recommended to bring a heavy jacket, as the temperature at the park is expected to be cold, with snow likely. Please note that the monkeys are wild animals and may not always be present in the park.
Featured in many documentary specials, this park is renowned for its wild monkeys, which you can observe up close without cages or enclosures. Every year, families of monkeys migrate through the park to forage for food and enjoy hot baths in natural springs. This park offers a truly unique experience, providing an extraordinary, close-up view of these beautiful, community-oriented animals.

Chisom Uluh, known as “Prof. Chi,” is a seasoned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) instructor with nearly 25 years of experience. He leads the Ground Shield BJJ and MMA team at Samurai Fitness Center. Ground Shield BJJ specializes in a unique blend of self-defense, mixed martial arts, and judo, making it accessible to individuals of all sizes and genders.
Prof. Chi, a first-degree black belt under Naoya Uematsu, has been teaching Brazilian jiu-jitsu on base for over a decade and also holds a black belt in karate.
