Annabelle’s improvement Dear diary, My mom wants me to get a job so we can get more money for crops and cloths. So I went looking and I found a place where they make art like weavings, paintings, pottery, and jewelry and I thought that would be the perfect job because I do all of that stuff with my mom at home. Annabelle asked the one guy that was making a necklace if she could work there. He said “you’re too young”. Then Annabelle said “I’m 10 years old and I really need this job”. Then he said “if you work here you will need your own stuff and figure out how to make it”. So I went home and found stuff to make paint for paintings, do pottery, and make weavings with yarn made from sheep wool and a wooden needle. Then she went back to the stand and made a pot, a weaving, and a painting. The worker looked at my stuff and was very impressed and surprised about how good she did. He said she could have the job. Annabelle went home and told her mom and they were both very happy.

Introduction-The Navajo people were able to adapt to their environment because there clothes, food, and homes. Here are the really cool facts about those topics

Clothes This is the Navajo clothes. They used these objects to make them. They used weavings, grass, or animal skin. The thick animal fur keeps them warm because the heat stays inside from the layers of skin for cold weather. The grass clothes and weavings they wear are for tradition but they can also be for regular clothes .That is what the Navajo wore.

Food This is what the Navajo ate. The men would hunt elk, deer, turkey, and turtles for soup. But they also have another soup called tortilla mutton stew made out of their crops from their farms. The men would use there bows and spears for their hunting. The women would cook and fry the animals on the fire while the men would make tools, make weapons and of course hunt.

Homes

This is what the Navajo lived in. They would make their houses out of weaved blankets, dirt, and wood. They would put Blankets on the top incase it rains and to keep more warmth. Most of the houses were really big they got up to 8 to10 feet tall and the wide ness was about the same. That’s what the Navajo lived in and what they were made out of.
