EditorsLetter Hello and welcome to the start of Autumn. We are now 3 months into the new year and school has been back for a month and It won’t be long until the school holidays are upon us again. This months magazine again brings some great reading. There are articles for all age groups; Family Time ... the glue that holds families together, can be found on page 8. Confidence in the Schoolyard for Children on the Autism Spectrum is a really worth while read and can be found on page 16. Page 18 has some great ideas for saving money, and page 24 will have you getting the Kids in the Kitchen making banana bread. In Kids Corner this month we have some fun with painting and printing Autumn leaves and a cross word to keep your little ones busy. What’s On has many great ideas for getting out and about with the whole family while the weather is still nice. Plus don’t forget to check out Hanging with Hannah - as she was out visiting a local park in Mill Park. I would like to thank all the readers that have contributed this month to What’s On. if you have something that may interest your local community, please share it with us. Redleap Avenue Mill Park Hannah, this month visited Redleap Park in Mill Park. Redleap Park is huge! It has lots of fun play equipment to keep children busy - it has 6 different swings, 3 monkey bars and 4 slides. There is also lots of climbing equipment for different ages and abili es. Hannah really liked the dinosaur and bumble bee see-saws. The park offers tables and chairs for picnicking, BBQs (all under cover), bins, and a drinking fountain. The park is situated not far from the Stables Shopping Centre, the Mill Park Basketball Stadium and the local Football and Cricket Grounds. The park is beau fully surrounded by a grassed area suitable for playing ball games or ggy, and lots of big trees, great for playing hide and seek. Redleap park has a public toilet.

Autumn Autumn Leaf Leaf Printing Printing You Will Need - leaves - paint - (different colours) - paper - sponges - rolling pin
Always cover the table before stating With the sponge - dab paint all over the leaves (You can use different colours) When your leaf is painted ready to print, place place a piece of paper on top of the leaf and using a rolling pin. Roll across the top. Then lift of the paper and you will have an Autumn Leaf print.
