How nice will it be to catch up with our mums and families this year in person and not via Zoom. After last year, I definitely will not be taking this Mother’s Day for granted! ‘Kids in the Kitchen’ this month, is here to help prepare a mouth watering afternoon tea dessert, for mum. Mini Chef Jade can be found on page 25, cooking Chocky - Chunk Chocolate Brownies ... yummy! Hanging with Hannah is on page 10, with Hannah was out on an adventurer to Gumnut Park and Playground in Donnybrook. Well, Gumnut Park has something to offer everyone. Chocky - Chunk Brownies with Jade

Ingredients: 1 Cup Plain Flour 3/4 Cup Cocoa 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar 11/3 Cups Caster Sugar 175g Butter (melted and cooled) 1tsp Vanilla Extract 3 Eggs 125g Dark Chocolate (chopped)

Method: 1. Place the flour, cocoa. both the sugars, the butter, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl and mix until smooth. 2. Add the chocolate and stir to combine. 3. Preheat oven to 160C. 4. Lightly grease a 20cm square tin and line with non=stick backing paper. 5 .Spread the mixture into the tin. 6. Bake for 50 minutes - 1hour or until the brownie sets. 7. Allow to cool in the tin for 5 minutes before slicing into squares and serving warm. Or allow to cool completely in the tin.
