About the role This exciting, varied role will put you at the heart of YHN’s Communications and Engagement Team, who are responsible for all our internal and external communications, and also give you an opportunity to work closely with our Marketing and Commercial Team, responsible for generating income via new contracts, bids and grants and new ideas/service developments. This is a great opportunity for someone who is at the start of their career and is looking to grow and develop a future within a Marketing or Communications environment. This Apprenticeship will allow you to understand how the teams operate on a day to day basis and get involved in a wide range of activities and tasks, such as: • • • • • • • • • •
Assist with the planning and delivery of external and internal communications and marketing campaigns. Assist with the content management of the website and social media platforms. Drafting content for press releases, internal newsletters and leaflets. Conduct client, market and competitor research. Support and have input into the creative design process including developing briefs, working with designers and arranging printing of materials. Support on external events including planning and production. Gain an understanding of our online marketing system and assist with the planning, distribution and follow up of email marketing campaigns. Assist with the management and updating of YHN distribution lists and leads and opportunities using our marketing system. Maintain the client database and image library. Participate in the Apprenticeship training and achieve all qualifications.
About the person We are not looking for someone with lots of experience, however good written skills will be essential. It would be helpful if you have experience of using social media and an understanding of what makes engaging content. Experience of developing video content would be great but isn’t essential We will be looking for someone who can demonstrate the following skills and behaviours: • Willing and proactive approach to learning and development. • Motivated to succeed in the role and pass college assignments. • Excellent levels of timekeeping and attendance. • Comfortable working independently and showing initiative. • Able to solve varied problems and think creatively. • Good communication and customer service skills (polite, friendly, helpful). • Good understanding and interest in IT systems. • Able to work in a professional manner in an office environment in accordance with YHN’s core values. • Able to maintain and understand confidentiality and deal with sensitive issues.
