Two years ago, Janine and Jason both decided to take a leap of faith and meet each other through an online dating site. It was a gamble that paid off, as they have since bought a new house and have had a number of discussions about their future together. There was a difficult time though, when Jason was working away for seven weeks at a contract job, which was also a seven hour car trip away from their home. Both were keenly looking forward to the finish date when he could return home. The day before the contract was to finish, Jason decided to return home and surprise Janine, not just with his early return, but with a proposal. It worked, she was certainly surprised with his early return and to see him bent on one knee with a jewellery box in his hand! The box actually contained diamond earrings, but that was so they could choose the ring together – so the proposal still stood firm. When it came to weddings, neither were strangers. Both had been married prior, so being the second time round, they knew what they wanted for their day. Fortunately, they were both on the same page, so a short engagement of five months was perfect for them. Janine had also worked in the wedding industry for nearly ten years, so she says she “had a clear view on what our wedding could look like.”

There were particular elements in their wedding that had special meaning, such as having both of her parents walking her down the aisle. And she says, “we wrote our own vows which made them heartfelt.” Janine and Jason invited fifty of their closest friends and family to join them at a private air bnb venue for an “engagement party celebration” which just happened to turn into their wedding, to the surprise of their guests! “Our wedding weekend was everything we ever wanted and more. Fifty people nearest and dearest in one location for a weekend of celebration and great times.” Their photographer, Melissa from A Shot Above the Rest Photography was tasked with capturing their special day. “Mel is an amazing photographer” says Janine, “we had worked many weddings together and she had also shot a few events with me before. A friendship was formed and I couldn’t think of anyone else I wanted to capture our day.” Knowing her style, eye for details and dedication to get that amazing shot every time, Janine says she was a must for their wedding. Both agree that they would not change anything about their day - “it was perfect.” After spending their first night at the air bnb property with family and a few friends, they then had a “mini moon” at Thredbo Crackenback Resort. “Such a beautiful way to start our married lives together” says Janine. “The day flies by so quickly and beautiful photos take you back to your wedding day and the memories of such a special day.” Janine’s wedding advice:
Take time out during the day, just you and your groom, to enjoy some time together to look at the day and how amazing it is. Breathe and take it all in. Exciting news: Since their wedding, Janine and Jason have welcomed their first child together. Congratulations from Your Local Wedding Guide Team!

The torrential downpour at Tuross Heads did nothing to dampen Matthew’s enthusiasm that day in February of 2019. Originally meeting on Facebook four years earlier, Goulburn born Kristi, and Matthew from Heathcote, were enjoying a holiday with their blended family of three boys. It didn’t go quite to plan however, with the wet weather forcing them into their cabin much of the time. But a little rain (or a lot) wasn’t going to stand in the way of Matthew’s plans to propose to Kristi. That day he popped the question in that crowded little cabin with the boys – and Kristi said “Yes!” They didn’t realise at the time, but that determination would hold them in good stead for their upcoming wedding. Their wedding date on 3rd October 2020 gave them 20 months to plan, but like many couples, what they didn’t plan for was COVID coming into their lives, impacting their wedding plans, and taking many of the decisions out of their hands.

In the early days of their planning, Kristi and Matthew organised a coastal view themed wedding at Narooma Golf Course’s spectacular headland, followed by a reception at Narooma Golf Club. As time went on though, it soon became clear that their dream wedding would have to be modified. COVID restrictions limited their guests to only those from the Goulburn and Cronulla areas, and eventually they had to cancel their reception. Aside from COVID preventing Kristi and Matthew from celebrating with all of their family and friends, they wouldn’t change anything else about their day. Their ceremony was very special. “It was 24 degrees, just perfect” says Kristi, and their Celebrant, Karen from Wonder Weddings Canberra included their boys into the ceremony so well, “it was amazing”. They enjoyed the panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, and were surprised and delighted to actually see whales in the background during their headland ceremony.

The boys looked very handsome dressed in their dark blue shirts and camel coloured pants which matched Matthew’s comfy RM Williams pants and dark blue jacket. And Kristi looked vibrant in her gorgeous wedding gown. “My flowers and hair piece were done by my beautiful friend ERB and cake by my bridesmaid Chantelle Gurr. They both stood out and went above and beyond with what we wanted” she says. Asked where their dream wedding location would have been and they reply, “In Narooma, it is just magnificent”. Despite having to cancel their reception, Julie from Narooma Golf Club, set up and decorated a room just for the immediate family, for a special wedding dinner. “Due to COVID, we had a lot of restrictions, but Julie our wedding organiser made the day just perfect” says Kristi. Unfortunately, their honeymoon on a boat cruise was also shelved due to COVID. Instead they went home and painted their house. Kristi’s Wedding Advice:
Enjoy your day, take it all in, sit back and relax. You have done the hard yards. If something goes wrong, let someone else deal with it.

Meaghan and Lewis spent their whole lives close together, living only a few streets away from each other and even attending the same pre-school, yet it took them almost as long to meet. Many years later, in 2011, they crossed paths again at the Australian National University (ANU), this time making a more memorable impression on each other. By 2013, they had started dating. After four years of dating Lewis had decided that he wanted to marry Meaghan, but he wanted to make it perfect. A whole year later in 2018 Lewis realised that his nerves had got the better of him and that he needed to be impulsive. The next day he organised a trip to a Japanese style spa in the Blue Mountains which offered relaxing massages and spectacular views. It was here, after a relaxing day spent together, with the view of a beautiful lake in the background, that Lewis asked Meaghan to marry him. A few months later they celebrated their engagement with family and friends at Hotel Kurrajong in Canberra, just weeks before moving halfway across the country. Planning their wedding was a little different, as by this time they had relocated to Cairns, some 3000 kms away from Canberra. Almost all of their planning had to be organised online. This wasn’t as difficult as you’d expect, since they had friends and family to help them with inspecting venues.

She looked
pretty damn beautiful
They had a handful of international guests, one from as far as Canada. From their Australian guests however, they themselves had the furtherest to travel – all the way from Cairns for their special day. It was around the time of their wedding that surrounding bushfires had created a haze over Canberra. Luckily on the day, it had mostly cleared up. Asked where their dream wedding location would have been if they had the choice, “Canberra” Lewis says, despite the bushfires and distance. “It’s where we grew up, where our friends and family were, and meant the most to us”. With a little over a year to plan their wedding, they paid the most attention to the décor and styling of the reception venue, and their wedding outfits. Meaghan wore a glamorous classic Stella York gown from Annabel’s Bridal Studio for the wedding ceremony and photos, and then slipped into a slinky Grace Loves Lace gown for a few more photos before heading to the reception – but not before running into another bride wearing the exact same gown! Of course, they had to take advantage of the situation and snap a few fun pics for the album. www.WeddingGuide.com.au

The bridal party skipped the traditional bridesmaids dresses, opting instead for a more modern, feminine pantsuit for the day which each of the bridesmaids styled themselves. The groomsmen wore navy suits with ties matching the colour of the bridesmaids pantsuits, while Lewis looked stylish in a light blue suit with a navy tie, all provided by Roger Bartholemew Menswear in Canberra. Holding their ceremony at the Margaret Whitlam Pavilion at the National Arboretum held a special significance to Meaghan. It was one of the favourite places of her recently deceased Nana’s. As Meaghan walked down the aisle, Lewis was surprised at how much he cried. “She looked pretty damn beautiful” he remembers. Their photographer, Mark, from Timeless Creations, captured all of these special moments. “He might’ve been my favourite, non-Meaghan part of the wedding” says Lewis. “The photos we got back from him were extraordinary and I’m usually not great around cameras.” They were both impressed at how Mark was able to make everyone feel comfortable around the cameras. “Mark was wonderful to work with and made us both feel amazing”. www.WeddingGuide.com.au

Their reception at the National Portrait Gallery was classic and minimal in its styling. The event staff at the venue and the catering company, Broadbean Catering, were both super flexible, friendly and professional. “Great to work with” Lewis remembers. They looked after all 100 of their guests throughout the night and everyone was really positive. “Neither of us had much experience in throwing big parties before, and a wedding is obviously the biggest party of them all” he says. “We were both so happy with how it turned out, how much fun everyone had, and how much fun we had”. Meaghan and Lewis spent their wedding night at the historic Hyatt Hotel in Canberra, and then honeymooned in Japan. They split their time between Osaka, Kyoto and a small hot spring village called Kinosaki Onsen, visiting spas and restaurants. The highlight being a beautiful stay in a traditional style room at Nishimuraya in Kinosaki Onsen, where they rented their own private onsen. Lewis & Meaghan’s wedding advice:
Don’t take it too seriously.

Sarah and Tom go back a long way. She still remembers that feeling of being the new girl at Tom’s high school. “There was lots of nervous flirting back and forth” she recalls. It was at her bridesmaid’s sweet 16th birthday party that they finally got together, and here they are now, years later and still together! Not interested in a classic wedding, Sarah says, “instead we wanted to hold a party for our friends and family outdoors in a beautiful garden setting somewhere.” They toyed with the idea of finding a setting they could use over multiple days, one that would allow them to organise and bring in everything themselves, including their own food, drinks and catering options, though they doubted that such a venue even existed. That was until they stumbled upon Redbrow Gardens. It was the most perfect venue for them. They were able to plan and create a ceremony and reception without many of the regulations that often accompany venues, and they could hire it for the entire weekend! Though they didn’t worry about a lot of the more traditional inclusions in a wedding, planning was still pretty intense. Probably more so because they organised the majority of it themselves, with limited vendors involved. When their big day arrived, Sarah and Tom got ready at their parents’ places. Then, rather than spending their morning apart, this unconventional couple met up with each other and their wedding party and had some fun and a few drinks to ease into the day. Having booked Redbrow Gardens for a whole weekend, they could now relax after doing much of the setting up the day before.

When they had arrived the day earlier to set up, they were amazed to unexpectedly find the cherry trees in the garden in full bloom! “It made the whole venue look like a fairy’s garden and it made us smile every time we looked around” she says, adding “it reminded us of our years in Japan having sakura parties on the river.” And it made them even more excited to begin their celebrations! Their ceremony was held on the beautiful open garden that looks out over the nearby lake. Sarah was dressed in a gorgeous, dark green coloured lace and tulle gown. “It turned out really well and was definitely a surprise for most people” she says, “plus I can now crop it to a tea length and wear it again!” The groom and groomsmen all had matching black suits, with bow ties that were custom made from the same material as the bridesmaids dresses. “I’m a sucker for the romantic stuff” she says as she remembers welling up as they read out the vows they had written for each other. Their celebrant, Zoe, who also happened to be their bridesmaid, helped them with their vows and had the guests both laughing and “awwing” on the day. “We also had our fathers read a funny but lovely poem called ‘Love me when I’m Old and Shocking’” and she also recalls Tom’s mum reading a poem about him growing up that brought tears to his eyes. www.WeddingGuide.com.au

Once the ceremony had concluded and Sarah and Tom were officially married, everyone helped to set up the tables and chairs around all of the trees, then covered them with candles, flowers and cheese platters. “We had a bar and music set up, and we organised for a coffee van to arrive midafternoon to keep everyone going and to accompany the massive table of cakes and desserts that our families and friends had made for us for the day” says Sarah. Having their ceremony early in the day allowed them to spend the whole afternoon with their guests, drinking, grazing, chatting and playing games. It was just how they had imagined. Once the evening rolled around, the mobile catering they had booked - “the wonderful Mr. Papa” says Sarah, served their delicious Peruvian street food canapes. Then as evening became night, the celebratory mood went up a notch and the dance floor took off, lit up by the magical fairy lights strung through the trees. Looking back on the day, they agree that the best thing they did was to organise a lunch time wedding so they were able to enjoy spending the whole day with their guests, though they say, “it still flew by!” www.WeddingGuide.com.au

was indeed the perfect venue
Sarah and Tom say they would happily do it all again, but that planning a wedding like theirs is not for the faint hearted. Luckily they had the support of their wonderful family and friends who helped set up and populate their tables with amazing cakes and desserts. And not to forget Sarah’s super talented Auntie who wrangled the mass of flowers and greenery Sarah had bought from a wholesale florist a few days before the wedding. A range of bouquets, button holes, corsages, a hairpiece, arbour decorations and flowers for the table vases around the venue miraculously appeared within such a short period of time. “They looked incredible” Sarah remarks. The following day, after their full day of celebrations, Sarah and Tom and a group of their guests awoke in the Guesthouse rooms at Redbrow Gardens Guesthouse and had a recovery breakfast together before packing it all away. Redbrow Gardens was indeed the perfect venue for Sarah and Tom’s amazing day of celebration. And reminiscing, Sarah says, “Thommo and All Grown Up Weddings gave us photos that we’ll hang in our home and admire for a lifetime.”

For many, COVID restrictions have spelt disaster for their weddings. Size restrictions, dancing restrictions and border restrictions creating cancellations everywhere. But for couples who only wanted a small wedding from the outset, it may have to some extent, worked in their favour. Stephanie and Rhy were one such couple who had originally missed out on being able to book in their preferred suppliers, due to their popular wedding date of 10/10/20. In the end though, they were able to have all of the suppliers they had originally wanted for their special day. Their love story began eight years ago when Rhy, a chef and Stephanie, a waitress at the time, met while working at a restaurant on the Kingston Foreshore. The thing was, Rhy could not keep a secret. This became quite evident with his unexpected marriage proposal... “It was his 26th birthday” she remembers, “and we had gone out for a nice lunch and shopping to follow. He couldn’t keep a straight face in the car and I may have pestered him about what he was trying to hide.” What happened next was so unexpected - “He ended up proposing to me at a set of lights – it was not what he had originally planned at all!”

A no fuss couple, they planned their entire wedding in three and a half months. “I wouldn’t have wanted any more or any less” she says. Pressure can be a great motivator and that is exactly what they needed to lock everything in.
was so intimate and beautiful
Their young family, Amaya and Kayden, were an important addition to their wedding. Says Stephanie, “we are so glad that we get to look back on our wedding with our children involved.” The other important factor was to ensure all of their guests could relax while enjoying beautiful food and wine. Their guests in fact loved their wedding almost as much as they did. They said that it “perfectly captured who we are and what we are – a lot of laughs, a lot of fun, and a huge amount of love.” Looking back on the day there were many special moments - the speeches, their personalised vows to each other, and the cake smash; to Rhy’s face! ...Stephanie!! She remembers their reception at Hotel Realm, “we arrived and everything had been organised for us. The food was exceptional and the atmosphere created was so intimate and beautiful.” Melissa, their photographer from A Shot Above the Rest was “beyond incredible. Mel fitted into our day perfectly – she had us all so relaxed, and not a single photo felt staged or forced.” Stephanie also recalls how Melissa did a family shoot a year earlier, so it was nice to see her capture another highlight of their lives. “My hairstylist, Melissa did a bridal wedding shoot with me around nine years ago” says Stephanie, so it was so incredible to have her be a part of our actual wedding.” Their videographer also slotted in perfectly alongside their photographer, and captured their day incredibly. With their dream wedding day going so fast, they took some time out to go for a walk after their photos, to where they had originally met all those years ago. www.WeddingGuide.com.au

“That really instilled how much we have grown together and all that we have achieved” The night ended with the couple spending their first wedding night at their reception venue, Hotel Realm. For their honeymoon they travelled to Bowral NSW in the Southern Highlands, enjoying fine wine and food, plenty of wineries, golf and tennis. They explored the area and enjoyed how much time seemed to slowdown. Stephanie’s wedding advice:
Take a moment to step to the side with your partner to take it all in. The day goes by so quickly. Also RELAX at the end of the day. The reason you are getting married is for each other, don’t stress the little things.

Whilst seeking tennis lessons at her local court in Camden, Ashley met Sam training to be a coach. One week, to celebrate her birthday Ashley brought cupcakes in for everyone to share. The following week, Sam surprised her with a single cupcake, which he claimed he made. It was later discovered that Sam’s mum had assisted him in his quest for a “Love Match”. A few years later, whilst cruising New Zealand together Sam had formulated a show-stopping plan to again surprise Ashley. During one evening’s entertainment the guests were seated for an on-cruise game show. Sam threw his hand up when the host asked for couples to volunteer, but Ashley – feeling a bit shy – immediately pulled his arm back down. After some crowd encouragement, Ashley relented and together they made their way to the stage. The game was “Mr and Mrs” was uneventful and Sam and Ashley were doing well, when the compere came to the last question “Are you engaged?” with that Sam dropped to one knee and popped the question. Through tears Ashley said yes, elated Sam immediately celebrated the acceptance not by kissing his new fiancée, but by giving the host a hug before sitting back down to finish the game!

“We knew from the start that we both wanted to get married by the beach, we checked out a few venues along the coast but nothing really stuck out for us until we visited City Beach.” Says Sam, “It ticked so many of our boxes with a stunning backdrop and their winter package also included some amazing décor items; white dancefloor, upgraded centrepieces and table runners.” continued Ashley. We also knew they had a fantastic reputation for their food, so we knew our guests would love it. City Beach have since taken our “Wedding Caterer of the year” NSW Regional in the 2020 Restaurant and Catering Awards. “The venue’s MC Dave Entertainment was fantastic at filling the gaps in the night which would usually be spent dancing, we played “The shoe game” which raised a giggle, especially when the couple disagreed on who was the best tennis player! We planned a romantic wedding with soft pinks, silver highlights and soft florals, then threw in some Star wars details – “We loved that the wedding was a true mesh of our own individual styles. One of the most fun elements was our half and half cake, one side was traditional white with floral lace appliques and the other was star wars themes with the logo and Darth Vader. Our cake baker, Delaney’s did a fantastic job of bringing our idea to life.”. Other Star wars elements you might spot throughout the day were the boys cufflinks, socks and face masks – a forever memory of getting married in 2020.

We also knew we wanted to incorporate our much loved cavalier cross shih-tzu, Charlee, so we bought her the sweetest outfit and got some great photos in the morning. Their photographer, Events Pictures and Videography were dynamic when it came to photograph locations and whisked the couple away to so many stunning spots around the locale; Wollongong lighthouse, the cannons, down on the sand with the ocean as a backdrop and also the botanic gardens. Ashley recalls waking to find the weather cool and overcast “I was delighted as I knew I would have an opportunity to wear my customised denim jacket”. Advice for other couples
Go with what you want and not want everyone else wants you to have. It’s your day so enjoy it! And also take a moment in the reception to take it all in - the day goes so fast!

Though they were both born and grew up in Canberra, Amy and Ben only met each other by chance through an online dating site. It was on a trip to celebrate the New Year with friends at Lakes Entrance in Victoria, that Ben decided it was time to propose to Amy. Taking her to the look out, he popped the question with the song “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran playing in the background. Theirs was a wedding before COVID, so they had many guests who travelled from all around Australia to be a part of their special day. “For us, we wanted the day to be about celebrating with our families” says Amy. Giving themselves a year and a half to plan and save for their wedding, Amy and Ben agreed that they wanted a fairly relaxed event that everyone could enjoy. They spent some time organising the big details such as their ceremony and reception venue, but they also had plenty of time to consider the finer details which brought the most meaning to their wedding. “For the reception styling I didn’t want anything too big that would take up lots of space at the table” says Amy, admitting that she preferred a minimalist feel. Both liking the outdoors and simple things, she says she was really drawn to the rustic feel which her decorator, Maria from Absolute Beautiful Décor provided on the day – simple, elegant, boho-hessian and lace.

Says Amy, “I have always loved the look of baby’s breath as centrepieces, so that was where my inspiration for the centrepieces started.” Personal elements which were particularly meaningful to both Amy and Ben centred around family. Amy wore her grandmother’s wedding ring on the day, and she remembered her grandparents who had passed away with photos of them on her bouquet. Ben also had pins with photos of his grandparents which he pinned to his suit. Another very special and distinctive moment was when Amy’s dad saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. She says, “the look on his face and his emotion was beautifully captured by our photographer and is something I will treasure forever.” Their photographer, Daniel from Keepsake Photos by the Keeffes was incredible. Their bridal party kept them laughing throughout the photo session and Daniel made them both feel very comfortable in front of the camera. “All our suppliers were amazing” says Amy. “All made the day stress-free and delivered incredible products for us.” Though it was unbelievably windy, it didn’t take the silver lining off their day. Guests had a wonderful time and agreed that it felt like a big party. www.WeddingGuide.com.au

This was exactly what Amy and Ben had set out to achieve. The moment that really stuck with Amy was the dancing at the reception. “Nick Rigby (Entertainment) did a fantastic job with the music and kept the party flowing” she says, “everyone was having an amazing time and enjoying the night.” Both Amy and Ben got lots of enjoyment just watching their families laugh and enjoy themselves. To be able to spend their day with the people they loved made it perfect for them. As the night came to an end, they spent their first night at The Burbury Hotel, surprised as most couples are, at how quickly the day went. They then continued the fun with a fantastic honeymoon to the USA and Canada for five weeks, staying in a mix of hotels and Airbnbs. Amy’s wedding advice:
Have fun and enjoy the moment.
Make sure you plan the day you want, not the day you think will make other people happy.

Some fall in love and it’s smooth sailing from there on end – and then there’s Angelaa and Joseph... They first met each other in 2015 at their workplace in Kmart. Then eight months later, when Joseph opened a Kmart store, Angelaa was hand picked to join his team. And that’s where the smooth sailing took a detour into choppy waters! Many arguments arose due to differing opinions on business related issues. Somehow, amidst the arguments and flared tempers, they managed to fall in love with each other, despite their feisty work relationship. As their personal relationship progressed and they found themselves becoming ever closer over time, Joseph found himself secretly making plans for a romantic proposal. It happened on a random Monday night. He led a blindfolded Angelaa to a room filled with candles and flowers and had her read a romantic letter he had written to her. It started with, “you have a week off work!” He then bundled her into the car and they drove to an undisclosed romantic destination. It was about an hour into their trip that he offered her a second romantic letter, this time outlining their destination – a cabin in the clouds in the Hunter Valley!

reallifeweddings The next day another letter, the third, this time giving details of their hot air balloon trip planned for the next day. Once they were high up in the hot air balloon, Joseph’s romantic surprises were about to culminate in the biggest surprise of them all. He had organised a proposal sign below them, asking the big question, but somehow Angelaa got distracted by the pilot descending, and without her reading glasses, couldn’t read the sign! It didn’t go quite to plan, but he steered it back on track and managed to propose to her while they were still in the sky. With Joseph’s two daughters, their wedding was always going to be about family. So the celebrant they would choose was given high priority, as was the photographer who would capture all of the special moments of their day. Using a combination of wedding planning tools, including attending Your Local Wedding Guide Canberra Expo, Angelaa and Joseph found Melissa, who was to be their photographer. “(We) could not have picked any better. Mel is extremely kind, happy, understanding, and goes above and beyond to make your special day about you,” says Angelaa adding, “and there was ALWAYS JUST ONE MORE PHOTO! Her attention to detail was on point and couldn’t be faulted.” Their chosen celebrant, Once Upon a Forbes – Nicholas Forbes, helped with multiple wedding rehearsals, managed to keep the bridal party cool, calm and collected, and most importantly, helped to create a personalised ceremony to combine their new blended family comprising Angelaa, Joseph, Leola and Sofia. Their ceremony was particularly touching, with a sand ceremony and a family certificate for each of them to sign. Angelaa also gave a speech and gifted the girls with a heart shaped locket with a photo of herself and the girls inside, with “Always & Forever” engraved on the back. She says, “I wanted to do something with my two step daughters that would be special for us as it is a big part of their life too. So I decided to arrive in a helicopter and take them with me. We had a 30 minute flight over Canberra until we arrived at the wedding. The girls were so excited! Something they will never forget.” Unable to have any pre-wedding celebrations due to COVID, they made do with a lovely small dinner with their parents and wedding party. Their guests were also limited to fifty, with only one guest from Queensland due to border restrictions. Pialligo Estate was chosen as their ceremony and reception venue, and was the perfect location for their special day. “We got our dream location!” cries Angelaa.

They had to meticulously plan the timing perfectly as the Orchids in the field only bloom for three weeks in the year! With fire-pits and outdoor games, guests loved the relaxing environment – and the mouth watering menu! Angelaa, wearing a gorgeous wedding gown from Angelic Inspirations, and Joseph, in his customised suit, enjoyed every minute of their Rustic Chic, Always & Forever themed wedding. Some guests said they had never been to such an emotionally beautiful wedding where everyone was in tears at least once. In fact, both her and Joseph saw each other cry throughout the whole ceremony also. After a beautiful, emotionally charged wedding, they left the reception with a sparkler send off , and spent their first night at the Rex Hotel. Unable to travel overseas, they decided to postpone their honeymoon for now and instead took three weeks off to spend some time building extensions on the family farm.
“Figured we didn’t kill each other during the wedding so we thought we would put our skills to the test and start building, surprisingly survived” she laughs. Angelaa’s wedding advice:
Keep calm and don’t let the little things get to you. The main goal is you and your partner end up at the alter and live happily ever after. You will know when to say “YES to the Dress!” Don’t let others decide for you.
Final comments:
Always & Forever.
“We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.” Dr. Suess.

PHOTOGRAPHY Choosing a wedding photographer is one of the most important decisions you will make when planning your wedding. Whoever you choose will be in charge of creating lasting memories of your special day, so take into account the style, special effects and quality of the photographs you would like. NATURAL ENVIRONMENT PHOTOGRAPHY Taking advantage of the natural beauty surrounding them, photographers are creating some breathtaking photos for weddings. With these shots, the couple are captured within a setting that shows them to be a small part of a much larger environment. This connection with nature produces powerfully emotive images. SAME DAY EDITS
Timeless Creations
Same day edits offer entertainment at your reception for your guests. They will love watching a slideshow of the day! Just make sure that your photographer doesn’t miss out on good photo opportunities due to being busy making the slideshow. If more than one photographer is shooting your wedding, then there will be no need for concern. It’s a great idea as long as the important stuff on the day is still being captured.

You can save considerable time in planning your wedding by visiting an expo, as you can see a whole host of wedding related products and services gathered together in one place. The number of niche industries that are displaying their great new ideas and innovations at expos are continually increasing and by selecting a piece of this and a piece of that, you can blend it all to make your wedding totally individual.

One appointment you won’t want to miss is that all important cake sampling date! As well as looking amazing, your wedding cake needs to taste exceptional…and you get to try out the different flavours (and there’s a lot) to find that perfect blend.

Why is this one of your favourite cake designs? I created this “Love is Love” cake for two close friends of mine, Brett and Will, who finally got married on 19th October 2019. They chose the flavours then gave me full creative license. It has so many different textures and elements and fitted in perfectly with the rustic theme - it has a natural stone look and I also included a hession effect into the blue layer. I was happy with the end product and I think it came out even better than the sketch! Flavours: 1 Native Citrus, Chia seed and Raspberry 2 Caramelised White Chocolate, Strawberry Prosecco 3 After Dinner Mint – Chocolate and Peppermint 4 Gluten Free Hazelnut, Wattleseed, Choc Espresso

Using the “f” Logo The primary use of the “f” Logo is to promote your organization’s presence on Facebook. For example, when you say, “Find us on Facebook” and link to your Facebook Page, it’s appropriate to use the “f” Logo. The “f” Logo may also be used side-by-side with other social media logos.
Maintaining Shape and Proportions To ensure accurate and consistent use, never alter, rotate, embellish or attempt to recreate the “f” Logo. Never alter the proportions and shape of the “f” Logo for any reason. To resize, hold the “Shift” key in most software programs to maintain the proportions while scaling up or down. Always maintain the minimum clear space, even when proportionally scaling the logo.
Size Be sure the “f” Logo is reproduced in a legible size and that they do not appear subordinate to any other partner logos included on the creative executions. Similarly, do not present the “f” Logo in a way that makes it the most distinctive or prominent feature of what you’re creating.
Logo
Color Do not modify the logos in any way, such as changing the design or color. The correct color versions to use are the blue or reversed-out to white. If you are unable to use the correct color due to technical limitations, you may revert to black and white.

Being a celebrant is a fabulous role!! I love working with people at one of the most special times of their lives. I’d wanted to become a celebrant for a few years before I began my training. It felt like a natural extension to many aspects of my career and I’d had opportunities to develop all the skills required of a great celebrant. Working with people and understanding their needs has been a theme across my career. I love working with couples to design a unique ceremony that’s all about them and making their day just what they want. Debbie Taylor www.tayloredcelebrations.com.au

WEDDING STYLING & HIRE
When it comes to wedding styling, we often put weddings into categories such as rustic, bohemian, vintage to name a few. In reality though, every wedding is unique and these categories are not meant to be rigid, but more a framework to work with and take from it what appeals to you. Professional wedding stylists can decorate your ceremony right through to your reception in a way that reflects who you are as a couple. They can help you narrow down your wedding ‘look’ and supply you with beautiful decor to suit your style.
