The project is located in the open space on the south side of Beizhen Temple of Beizhen, so people started to think carefully about how to handle the relationship between the building and the surrounding historic districts. In such a historic cultural area, more emphasis should be placed on the relationship between new buildings and old ones. In addition, as cultural center of the city, this program not only serves the function of a museum, but also provides urban citizens with a gathering place. So the designer hope this museum is neither serious nor solemn. It should be an architecture that is free and respectful of history, so that people can develop a relaxed feeling here. Because the building's surroundings are planned as Cultural Squares, the Museum can function as a sub-center here. I hope that people will gather freely where it becomes part of local life. Although Beizhen is a famous historical and cultural city with numerous historical sites and historical relics, including not only small objects but many giant stone Buddha statues. Therefore, while considering indoor exhibitions, I also consider the use of the combination of the landscape and the show.

I choose to control the volume of the building and to distribute each space from a lateral perspective, which can also contributes to the enclosed space. In the architectural form, I choose the traditional Chinese sloping roof, which is usually the same height as the rooftops of houses, museums and roofs in northern China. From a distance, it looks like a cascade of mountains thus narrowing the sense of distance. The traditional museum has a strong fixed space planning, such as the outdoor space as a rest area with exhibits located all indoors. When it comes to planning exhibition space, I think more should be considered in terms of the characteristics of exhibits. There are many giant stone tablets and stone carvings in Beizhen. So I have considered the combination of outdoor display space and interior one through which exhibits can better display their own charms. Besides, I choose glass box as the form of the passageway. Not only can it increase the interaction between the building and the outdoors considering lighting issues, it can also remind people that this is a rest area, suggesting the end of the last exhibition hall.

We have lived in apartments for a long time and I long for the experience of living in a traditional courtyard. I hope this building can give such a feeling of relaxation so that people will be attracted by the friendly image from the beginning, and the vision and body can follow the meandering ground unconsciously into the museum's interior. People can choose either the sinking courtyard in order to visit the outdoor exhibition, or the first building before the quiet pool through the calm water to filter out the feelings of the outside world, reaching the first floor of the exhibition hall. In the courtyard people can choose to sit in the courtyard under the tree to chat, or feed the fish in the pool, through the huge curtain wall you can see the interior art and people walking indoors. Everyone's feelings and ideas are different. In this building people have the right to choose freely, rather than follow the architect's idea of a person’s completing the process.

Interior Architecture
The traditional museum has a strong fixed space planning, such as the outdoor space as a rest area with exhibits located all indoors. When it comes to planning exhibition space, I think more should be considered in terms of the characteristics of exhibits. There are many giant stone tablets and stone carvings in Beizhen. In my opinion, the most suitable environment for thinking is not immutable. Buildings give people different experiences in space. The same human senses also give people different feedbacks and feelings of repression, confusion, cheerfulness, and spiritual guidance. Modern people are always thinking about life. Whether on the way to school or commuting to work on the subway, it can be said that it is an all-time reflection. However, people have a momentarily shortterm thinking because such a large environment can not make people think one thing in-depth, and more people choose to default their lives and try to escape and deceive themselves. The traditional space for meditation is often a calm, simple space with a comfortable light and incense flavor because the purpose of meditation is to concentrate on the most important thing and philosophically go through it. The most suitable space for meditation has just reached such a tacit understanding, as the most people can not think about the space and an accurate provision. It might be that everyone will have a perfect space in their mind. But to me, the meditation space is not the same as the traditional meditation one.

what I want to design is also a space for understanding this truth. We can not tell how long our hard life is. We always complain about that happy times are always short, but we should want to accept it instead of being immersed in it. In this space, no matter how old you are or whether your knowledge is profound, or even you do not know meditation at all, it will give you a reflexive environment. In this design, I’ve created an irregular space, of which every step is full of unknowns. Because this design approach is very different from previous ones, in the process I fully employ hand-painting to avoid some habitual constraints of design software, expressing myself without any delay.

Materials: OSB/ Wire/ Veneer Beijing/ China Design-build team: Xichen Que/ Sam Wang/ Yuan Jin This project is designed for the exhibition space appliances, and was earliest used in Beijing Design Week. The organizers will provide a space about 20 ㎥ for display, and there will be about one week of show time. Therefore, I fully considered the reuse of the appliances and the reasonable price of the materials in design. The modern exhibition space is no longer limited to indoors, but is a more diverse space. It may be big as an entire city, or small as a corner. The exhibition place is everywhere with diverse forms. It will show the exhibits in space to passing pedestrians through this design, and will and will include the streets, surrounding buildings as part of traditional exhibitions. In the fast-paced life, some small groups like individuals, organizations have higher needs for expressing themselves, and have a new request for exhibitions. Therefore, the exhibitions should be easy to operate, functional and diverse, and should deal with different scenarios. The modular design is used in the design, and the entire display space is combined by different modules, while the modular design makes products easy to store, and achieve different functions. I choose the environmentally friendly and low-price materials, as well as the materials of multiple use, so that they can be re-used and are environmentally. This display is mainly for young designers, artisans and young artists to organize their personal works exhibitions, reading clubs, creative markets and other activities.

I have participated in some exhibitions and found that, in order to attract public attention, many exhibition spaces used a lot of luxury materials, while most exhibits were abandoned after the show resulting in a volume of waste. Most exhibitions were confined spaces, so same hazardous substances were difficult to evaporate in the short term. Meanwhile, the traditional exhibitions are costly, laborious and stressful to organizers.

I combined oriented strand board and loose board in the design. All oriented strand boards are adopted with advance environmental adhesives, whose formaldehyde emission is almost zero, and can be compared with natural wood. The loose boards have a high internal bonding strength, whose surface is very smooth, not only the board surface has the strength and various advantages of natural wood, it also avoid the defects of natural wood, and is very good in fire prevention. Moreover, the price of these two materials is much cheaper than natural wood, so they are ideal for showcase use.

Adaptive Reuse Project: coliving and coworking space Size: Whole biilding Date: 2019 Materials: Wood/Concrete/Steel products Cotent: Building Reconstruction/Landscape Design/Interior Design Philadelphia/United States Advisor: Jongwan Kwon The diverse history and economic development of Center City, Philadelphia began in 1682 when William Penn established Philadelphia City as the capital of the English Crown Province of Pennsylvania. Center City and Philadelphia City as a whole went through both growth and decline in its manufacturing industry, railroad systems and grain storage as affected by socioeconomic changes such as industrialization and urbanization following the Civil War, WWI and WWII. In addition, it is also affected by economic changes such as the Recession of the early 1990s, which resulted in high unemployment rates and poverty. Driven by demographic and economic forces, these cities are rapidly changing. In a relentless ‘Block Attack', massive towers, slabs and blocks with repetitive housing units, floor plans and facades are invading – scraping away the urban villages that have evolved over hundreds of years. These alien buildings provide a Western standard of living, while destroying indigenous communities in the process. They obstruct urban innovation and discourage diversity, flexibility and individually tailored ideas. Is there a better way to develop these areas? Could we densify them without sacrificing the informality of the urban village? Could we apply the principles of informality to generate new neighborhoods? What if we could develop urban villages vertically, as an alternative to the monotonous sea of blocks?This project is a comprehensive project that includes rail planting parks, a health food market, shared living and working spaces, and an urban complex to reactivate these once glorious buildings. It is located in the city's cultural center, hoping to become a new city gathering place in the future.

Railroads in Philadelphia that became a part of the PRR, 1834
A new vision for railroads came to the region in 1846 with the founding of the Pennsylvania Railroad, an integrated system that served a massive section of the nation.From its headquarters in Philadelphia, in the second half of the nineteenth century the Pennsylvania Railroad acquired and built the lines that became a system stretching from New York to Washington (the Northeast Corridor) and west via Pittsburgh to Detroit, St. Louis, and Chicago. Although the Pennsylvania was a trunk line railroad that hauled passengers and general freight, the majority of its revenue came from carrying bulk commodities like bituminous coal and iron ore to industrial cities.

Head house Head house is the isolate structure on top of the building. After grain is emptied from truck or train, they were carried along the leg by a continuous belt with flat backed buckets attached up to the head house. Grain is weighed and sorted in the headhouse and then goes down to the distributing floor.
Distributing Floor Located just above the main bin structure, the distributing floor is easily identified from the exterior by the large windows which span across its length. These windows provide ventilation to an area prone to grain dust explosions. The grain is carried along the length of the floor by conveyor belts until it reaches the appropriate bin. It is then directed down into a small hole in the floor by a rotating spout.
The bins comprise the storage area of the elevator. The most important features of a bin are its shape, wall configuration, and bottom slope. Concrete elevator bins are usually circular, though other forms can be found. The bottom o a bin may be either flat or hoppered. While a flat-bottomed bin is difficult to empty thoroughly, a hoppered-bottomed bin is sloped to facilitate the movement of grain.
Work Floor The work floor is located below the storage bins at ground level and connects the elevator to the train, barge, and truck loading areas. Like the distributing floor, the work floor is an open space with windows on all sides. It is distinguished, however, by the presence of the hoppered bottoms of the bins on its ceiling and the immense columns which support the structure.

These big ramps are connected to the roads in the city. People can easily go up and down this ramp to reach the road, and they can easily reach the park from the road.Use the height of the ramp to design shops and public service facilities on the side of the ramp to bring popularity to this area and also serve the surrounding community
As a continuation of the park, the ground floor of the building is designed as a health food supermarket, which is convenient for residents and surrounding residents. At the same time, the building also serves as one of the passages up and down the ground.

Providence / RI Design-build team: Yuan Jin/Liman Wei/Lanting Advisor: Wolfgang Rudorf This project is an old building renovation project. This is the first project I came to RISD. The project is located in the park of Rhode Island. The building has been in existence for more than 100 years and was once a small room for storing seal food. So called the seal house, after field measurement and modeling, we gradually have our own concept,
Because this is a century-old building and part of the park, the internal functions no longer exist, so we hope to protect the facade of the building. In a sense, it protects the original features of the building. Transforming the building into a Small museum about the history of the park.
There are four small buildings and one main road around the building. We have selected two points from the main road and added the perspective of the four buildings. So we cut the lines from six angles and got a body. We will use this body and architecture. Tightly combined, the four historical buildings can be seen from the four windows in the body. At the same time, when you stand on the main road, the angle just can't see the newly seen body, and you can see the original appearance of the building.

Boston/Massachusetts Advisor:Francesca Liuni The project is located at Harvard University. This project is the first complete exhibition design I have made, including the selection of exhibits, interior space design, interior structural design, display cabinet design, installation design, lighting design, exhibition catalog design, etc. Help me better understand the exhibition. In fact, this space is not an exhibition space. It is a transitional space between the student study room and the teacher's office. It is a square box. The height of the room is ten meters, but the width is not five meters, so I I decided to use the vertical space to create an indoor space through different heights to get more exhibition space. During the field trip, I found that many students were resting in the corridors, because the whole building was of an academic type, so my exhibition theme focused on music, the exhibits were music players of different ages, and some even had a hundred years of history. At the same time of the exhibition, I matched the music of the same era, so that students and teachers can have a space to relax while studying.

Modern architecture has a multitude of tendency, one of which is moving toward a place that can be visited, viewed, inhabited, and lifted spirit. Mountain art museum hopes to show the space that easy to remember, or the experience that never had. The unique feature of mountain art museum lies in the fact that apart from being away from the city, most of the buildings are built in the mountains so as to protect mode of construction with combination of natural environment and surrounding scenery. It is built in the mountains near the Great Wall. If viewed from distance, exposed parts are perfectly integrated with nature, which like grow from rocks. It is hidden in the mountains and nature to maintain the proper harmony. A mountain, a valley, and buildings hidden in the mountains, many ancient Chinese literary and painting works revolve around the theme: walk through a long, curving trail to a mountain cottage where hides in the quietness with accompany of wind.That is, far away from the earth fairyland, it;s difficult to arrive there, which is the journey of seekers.

Nicole Eisenman lives and works in New York and received her BFA from RISD in 1987. Her work in painting, drawing, printmaking, and sculpture adapts traditional arthistorical techniques and approaches to an often satirical depiction of contemporary society and its discontents. Eisenman’s practice is also defined by a commitment to representing the complex implications of the body as a site of desire and identity and to addressing issues of gender and sexuality.

nventarios/Inventories explores the personal and domestic contexts of artworks, particularly as they exist in artists’ personal lives and working environments and the homes of their close family and collaborators. Drawing upon the RISD Museum’s Nancy Sayles Day Collection of Latin American art, Pablo Helguera has collaborated with living Latin American artists and the families, close friends, and collaborators of those no longer alive to provide a view of the domestic lives of artworks.

This show explores the capabilities of spiders and how they have inspired and enchanted a host of engineers, artists, and designers looking to reimagine the tensile strength, luster, and beauty of spiderwebs. Sustainable design practices and cutting-edge uses of spider silk are surveyed across contemporary projects highlighted by a debut of shawls by the design firm Godley & Peers that were entirely created from silk produced in Madagascar by golden orb spiders (Nephila madagascariensis).
